No-Frills but a fairly clean subway station.
163rd Street–Amsterdam Avenue is a local station on the IND Eighth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, located in Washington Heights, Manhattan at the intersection of Amsterdam and Saint Nicholas Avenues. From March to September 2018, the station is closed for renovations. Under normal service patterns, the station is served by the C train at all times except nights, when the A train takes over service.
163 st station is my favorite way into Washington heights.
The best train station always clean n a friendly atmosphere
ive lived near this station all my life and there is just no way that i can give it more than 2 stars when the MTA let this station crumble lmao the rat infestation is a real problem that needs to be addressed. also train service here is mediocre, you have to always be there at least 30 mins before you actually leave your house in order to catch a train. those train apps do not predict this stupid stations arrival and departure times because of how inconsistent the trains are. ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS A DOWNTOWN TRAIN! haha, my advice is waking up early and either walking to 168 or 145 where you can catch an express train and lessen your misery.
Station in bad shape, rats everywhere, only one local train every 10 or so minutes. Two stars because it's the second station headed downtown, so easier to grab seats
Good station, but looks like it doesn't get any attention. Train service is about every 8 minutes from here.
Very nice renovated station. C train.
Very clean updated station. Arrival and departure board, usually accurate.
Now Open Again. It's renovated though I think it was okay the way it was.
