Look let’s all face the facts. No subway station is just perfect and wonderful, but as recent events have proven, some are better than others. This station isn’t bad. It’s also a little cleaner than some others I’ve seen.
Busy subway. Just becareful and don't stand close to the yellow line people. Whatever subway trains you are at. It's very dangerous. Stay safe!
relatively clean safe station. i don’t have any complaints other than the crowding which has lessened a bit since the pandemic. the crowding is really for the 6 train local. with post-work crowds down, the station feels a bit less cramped during evening rush hour. i like that the 53rd St connects to 51st station via underground passageway since i am often traveling from that direction in the area.
Corner of Lexington and 51st street. Long way down to the trains from the street. But as long as the escalators are working, it won't be an issue :
access to transfer train E, M, 6 and. east side community, colleges, hospitals
We were visiting and used this station quite a bit to visit friends in Houston. It was an ok experience. The card machines worked and we did not get stuck. The train arrived on time.
Fantastic stop. Great service on the 6 line at all times. Not sure why people are complaining about how long it takes to transfer to the E & M, since the two stations are about 2 blocks apart.
You going to have to try to control the homeless people that at your McDonald's the workers have to talk less to each other and attend to the customer this morning instead of giving me a fork for my big breakfast they give me a spoon last week they forgot to give me the fork and knife the kid behind the counter with his pants falling yes the one with the dreadlocks not in a hat he's dealing with food the table needs to be cleaned down regularly what a mess you need to do better
As most of the MTA Stations, this one is also on horrible condition.
This station is not tourist friendly. No sign says which train goes where. Maybe locals know, but tourists don’t!!! I don’t recommend to use this station. Walk a couple of blocks and go to Grand Central.
