The place was surprisingly busy on a weekday, which just shows how good the food is here. We were craving for some momos and they were delicious, I was not the biggest fan of their momo sauce, We also tried Chatpate, which was good. We had a short wait time, but the food was worth it, cute spot for a casual date night.Food: 4/5
Butter tea is excellent. Johl momo pictured also was great. Chili momo not pictured was not good at all and do not recommend. Farsee goat dhido also pictured was pretty good as well.
The service was great! Get the Lassi. You won't regret it
I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. I have been there multiple times recently with friends and family. The thakali are delicious, and flavorful. I personally enjoy pairing a beef momo with or without jhol with some mango lassi. I recently has the friend rive with Buffalo Jerry. Yum! I took some with me and ate it the next day, and it was still satisfying. The service is also very good, and the ambiance is lovely.
Authentic Thakali food at Jackson heights next to Apna Bazar. Thali set is available in Raice, Fapar buck wheat ko Dhido and Puri Thali. Beef and buff sukuti is availale. Jhawaikhutte is also available If you are carving for Dal-bhat or, Dhindo then this is the best place while you are around.Food: 4/5
First time having Nepalese food. Didn't know what to expect and to complicate the matter in tow were my two ultra picky and bratty kids. In short, I loved the Puri Thali my kids and I as well loved the crispy pork momos and the crispy pork belly with all the dippens! My 7 year old, on a whim ordered the tofu chili, although he didn't like the sauce it came with, he did like the tofu, I inturn did,and thought it was delicious enough to order the next time I visit! Can't wait to go back and try the various other momos!
Tasty, reasonably priced, and quick service.Food: 4/5
Great place to eat. Staff are friendly and attentive. I love their samosa chat, an explosion of flavors in your mouth. The chicken lollipops are tasty and crispy, the assorted momos are big and the goat curry is a must try, it's soft and flavorful. Will be back again.
My first time trying out dhindo and I like it. Have always liked the food here just never got chance to review it. Love their chatpate I just wish the beans were cooked rather than raw.
I recommend this 'Mustang Thakali Kitchen' strongly with a 5 + star for the authentic Nepali food they serve and the impressive level of hospitality. I will revisit again in my next New York City visit from Europe.
