One of my favorite new cafe shops. The places oozes character, charm, and good vibes. I had to get my car repaired so I ended up here for hours. It is every kind of nerd’s paradise from comic books, movies, and literature. Also, their list of events look amazing. They have stand up night so I have to come back to check out. Throughly enjoyed the music and atmosphere so I will come back very soon
Mutiny Information Cafe is a unique and eclectic place that has all kinds of stuff, from comic books and books in general to records and VHS movies. The shop supports local authors and artists. Coffee and food are available for purchase. I saw at least one gluten-free option. One of the two owners suffered a near-death heart attack, the store has recently been vandalized, and it has undergone some financial hardship. I recommend visiting and supporting this local cafe.
Super cool book store to visit. I didn’t try the coffee, but the prices for drinks, books, and everything else was pretty standard. They even have a local artists section and a cat that roams around the store. Highly recommend stopping in!
This was my favorite place when I lived in Denver. The vibes are immaculate. Homey, down to earth, not pretentious. The hot drinks are HOT -- how they should be. And the books, chess, records and comics are great touches to make you wanna hang out all day, which is great because they're open till 9 PM most days used to be 1 AM too. I will always love Mutiny. Was my home away from home for 2 years.
Denver’s uncut gem for culture, comics, and music. Get some coffee and dig through some books or vinyl. Open mic nights throughout the week. And one of the last 1-2$ comic bins in Colorado. I love this Never-Say-Die store on the corner of Broadway and Ellsworth, and their little black cat. Use the Photo Booth, tip the staff! This place gives the community substance. Kid-friendliness: Some parts remind of Toy-R-Us, some parts remind me of granny’s basement, some parts are like a haunted coffee shop. It’s cool. Lots of good going on in the space. Kid’s at heart will enjoy also. Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll in! Always someone friendly ready to open the door.
Truly a Denver staple- this cafe is a deeply rooted support system for both the creative and activist communities. The espresso and specialty drinks are great- but really you’re going for the collective of books, comics, and local performance art. I spent handfuls of winter nights in 2021 at the front window counter with a purchased pot of tea- trying to work on making major life changes from my laptop. The events at the back of the cafe bombing comedians trying their best, D&D group meet ups, musicians, poets were all soundtracks to this progress for me. The staff is always kind and engaging- you can tell they enjoy what they do. This is an establishment I am continually very grateful for and I’ll continue to support & recommend a visit to anyone who asks about spots to see in Denver. P.S. Be respectful of the house cat that meanders around- I’ve heard she’s feisty sometimes. She might offer you a side quest if you purchase enough Mutiny Loot.
Mutiny is one of my favorite used book store and coffee place in Denver. Their staff is always super friendly. They have loads of great, gently used books to purchase, comic books, and even pinball machines!! They do live music, poetry and other small events in the evenings. If you are looking to have a great cup of coffee and a snack, they have that, too!
Interesting shop. I got a Thai ice tea and my honey got an ice coffee, mine was better then his. They also had a comic con event behind the store the week I went. Popular area for walking and shopping. Kid-friendliness: Yes kids are ok here if they like to read and chill out Parking: Only as street parking but it was easy to find, very chill neighborhood
Coffee and pastries are incredible! They roast their own beans and have pastries I haven't seen anywhere else.... and, they are delicious! Funky atmosphere reminds me of the East Village in NYC. Food: 5/5
Very cool spot for finding unique comics, on-site Cafe... and dog friendly except for the resident cat... he is not a fan. Cereal bar where you can mix and match your favorite cereals is unique and fun as well.
