I've always been on a nail salon hunt, tried many different nail salons around Milwaukee downtown, and Nail Bar is the best. In terms of hygiene and sterilization, I've never seen one nail salon in Milwaukee use a file just for you and the tools are pre-sanitized just for you! The staff and atmosphere were great. Anna who did my Pedi and Mani did an amazing job, pictures speak for themselves.
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Shortly after getting my nails done, I noticed extra glue under a couple of my nails, one nail had a visible bumpy ridge across the polish, another nail didn't have enough adhesive glue so there was space between my real nail and the gel x artificial nail. I felt as though I spent way too much $$$ on my nails to have these type of defects, therefore, I called to schedule a nail fixed. I was unable to book with this particular nail tech within a few days. Either, she was unavailable or I had to work her only days and times available. I reschedule with a different nail tech, however, I was unaware of their policy that you have to get the nail fixed within 7 days. I was charged an additional $15 and some change for a nail tech to buff out my nail polish and repaint one nail, add more adhesive nail bonding glue to another nail and remove the excess glue from one nail. My appointment was at 9:30 am and I wasn't seen until ~9:50 am. The fix took less than 10 minutes, but I was charged an additional $15 for defects and errors on their end. It wasn't due to something that I did to my nails. In addition, I was told the $15 fee included reshaping my nails. This was a complete LIE. My nails did not need to be reshaped. They were already shaped from the first time I had them done. Smoothing out the edges of two nails is not reshaping the entire nail. Needless to say, the same day that I got my nails fixed, the nail that was rebuffed and polished popped off. I called to ask for a refund of my $15 and I was denied. However, they did offer to fix the nail free of charge. At this point, I told them, "No Thank You". The customer service is the biggest downfall to this location. The quality is not worth the $$$. I'm very disappointed and I will not revisit here again!
It a good place to get your nails done as in the staff did a great job with my nails but the vibes weren't for me. They weren't welcoming at all, and the staff didn't start my services for a while. Also, it's extremely crowded and not a relaxing experience. And, I would recommend for that price trying out other salons in the area.Services: Gel manicures
I like the ability to book online, and the salon is clean and modern. What makes me not want to come back is the overall customer service, which is not particularly warm and inviting. My last manicurist was not warm and I felt rushed the job and it was an average pedicure. It was sort of an awkward experience for my friend and I because the staff didn’t engage much with us.Services: Gel manicures
I was a little apprehensive because of all the negative reviews about them on here but I really enjoyed the salon! The nail techs were very sweet and personable. They were very gentle on my feet which I liked. I will definitely be back!Service: Pedicure
Nail Bar Walker’s Point has always provided top tier service with the kindest, most professional staff. They were able to fit me in last minute when another salon cancelled my birthday mani/pedi appointment the day before. The salon itself is gorgeous and relaxing. They’ve quickly become my favorite nail spot in Milwaukee! Highly recommend!
I had a great experience at Nail Bar Milwaukee - Downer. Very professional, clean, and an overall lovely experience. I left feeling very relaxed and my gel manicure has held up beautifully. Will definitely be back!Services: Spa services
So I paid 75$ at the downer location for these. only reason the rating isn’t 1 star is because when I called to question the very clear issues they were able to get me into walker’s point location same day to get them fixed. on top of the terrible nails, the nail tech was late to the appointment didn’t get started till almost 20 minutes after my appointment start time. when she walked in the door didn’t know what I was getting at all that I scheduled so I mentioned acrylics or French tip she acted surprised and a little annoyed that she had to get up and grab more stuff then what she originally grabbed.so was completely unprepared then rushed the appointmentServices: Nail extensions
I came with coworkers for the first time a few weeks ago and was so disappointed in both of my services. My pedicure was ok but the polish a dark maroon was see through on my big toe. She should have put on another layer but I didn't notice until I had left. My dip powder manicure cracked the next day which has never happened to me before and the top coat chipped on almost all my nails within days. On top of that, the service provider indicated that she hated her job and was looking for something new to do...and her work clearly reflected that. I will not be back.Services: Pedicure
