The rental car was not clean inside, and another stupid issue is if you do not have a credit card, you cannot rent any vehicle. I'm a person who does not want to have any credit cards. The explanation was that people could still rent cars because they required a credit card, which made no sense. Budget, please review the rental policies.
Absolutely terrible place. Avoid at all costs. I had rented a convertible to drive my family to Maine and was very much looking forward to it. However, when we arrived I was told that all the convertibles have been recalled which is completely a lie. To add insult to injury when I was returning the piece junk car that they gave me instead of the convertible mustang I had paid for, I saw the mustang that I paid for being driven around by an employee in the parking garage. Clearly not recalled. It looked like they just wanted to take it for a spin on their own. I was very unhappy and it ruined my vacation. I will never ever ever again rent from budget.
Budget overcharged the rental. They charged $30 over the offer that I agreed with Expedia on the booking. Budget also charged me CA$23 for the “administrative fee” on top of the road toll $16.2 incurred for my use of toll road in Canada. Such high rate of administrative fee is nothing short of scam.
0 stars should be an option. I rented a vehicle for 6 hours and received an email 2 days after returning the vehicle that stated I was being charged for keeping the car for an additional 2 days and drove it 100 miles. How does this happen? Please keep all the paper work when dealing with Budget, you may need it for proof.
We were in and out in 10minutes, added additional driver. We had rental prepaid online and only needed to pay for additional driver. The girl behind the desk was helpful and we had no problem of finding our car and Mike showed us how to get out. All in all good experience.
Avoid. Poor cars, no courtesy in the office okay in the car park. Overcharged as they processed our check out slowly due to an empty office
Overcharged me for an additional driver, then refused to respond to follow-up emails. Extremely slow, took 30+ mins to get car, which hadn't been cleaned between renters, previous driver's contract was still there + dirty trunk. Staff didn't wear masks and allowed unmasked customers inside, despite signs on the door.
Car was very dirty inside out and it smelled. Upon return of the car I was treated so poorly by the staff member just by asking what was the protocol we need to follow when returning the car. He raised his voice at me for no reason. I found my self apologize for nothing just to keep him calm. I have rented from Budget before and have never had such a bad experience as this time. Very disappointing. Do not recommend it.
Horrible customer service. Lady that waited on us said we should pay $13 daily for toll roads when we said we were going to Vermont and Provincetown. We did and didn't go through one toll. Then when we went to get car, man didn't even take us to our car, said find it with your key fob. It was damaged on the said and he said nothing and we didn't see it until later. When we brought it back about 1:45pm no one was there to check us out when we parked the car, and signage was not clear of where to park the car. Had picked a Toyota Camry and got a Toyota Rav instead with no power. Horrible service and we filed milked at the $13 per day on the toll roads, and no one there to take our car. Had to go down to customer desk for receipt of bringing car back.
Paid for car in advance only to be told they were sold out. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!! Unable to help
