Submitted my 2.5 year old & they said "we would love to meet her!" Drove 2 hours just for her to tell me they don't take kids under 5 & she would have to take all their clasaes.....I've been in the acting industry awhile & I've never had a agency waste my time like this "agency" did....after reading the reviews we will not be going back when she turns 5. Unless it's ran by a different person.
I went to the Neal Hamil Center when I was 16. At the time the classes were close to $3,000 my parents couldn’t afford this nor where much comfortable about me joining the industry. So, I waited until I was a legal adult. I went back the classes were now 800 something. Of course I auditioned but like you may already know they want you to take the classes to join the agency. I said ok, my husband now is very supportive of whatever it is I want to do. So, we paid the 800 something dollars . I did a 2 day boot camp. Saturday & Sunday. Honestly. It’s true what everyone here is saying, you don’t learn anything you can’t learn online yourself. But I did the boot camp ambitiously to get into the agency. Now, I go back and audition again on a Wednesday and of course now they say yes. I signed the contract. Never ever received anything acceptable or that made sense. Gloria Benedict sends mass emails to everyone about jobs that don’t even fit your profile. I would get emails about 40 yr old people , children , things that that made absolutely zero sense. Not to mention Jennifer Moleda who is the biggest scam artist I’ve met. She is the sweetest lady she will butter up your ear talk about the industry, residuals, money etc. it’s all talk! They have like 5 people who are the only ones actually getting gigs and making money . The power ranger , who didn’t even get that role trough them he got it trough IMTA . But they will try to sell you with that . Everybody else is just a nobody . All the really want is that initial 800 dollars. Not worth it. I read the reviews before and chose to ignore them taught, can’t be true. It is . This place is false.
treated me absolutely horiffically and said they would only consider me once I took their acting classes and got a tummy tuck after my pregnancy.
Complete scam. You don’t need to pay 800 plus dollars to learn something a 10 minute YouTube video can teach you. Any modeling agency that asks for money up front is a clear scam. As soon as you are done with those fake classes they completely disregard you. I’ve been signed for a year and haven’t seen any work. And every time I call to see about work I’m either sent to voice mail or greeted by someone who has an attitude and makes it seem like it was a burden to pick up the phone. I wish I could get and get my money back. I read all the negative reviews and thought nothing of it. Now I realize how accurate they really were. PLEASE don’t pay this place any mind.
Rude, unprofessional SCAM agency. A real agency never makes you pay. Real agencies develop you for FREE
Andrea, a associate/ agent has been the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with in relation to being booked as talent. Then because I told her she must speak to me with respect and I wouldn’t be spoken to like a unintelligible teenager, she dropped me from representation and the company did nothing to rectify her abhorrent attitude. Just not a good fit for someone at my level. They seem very promising as an agency however. Looking for boutique agencies.
This agency has offered many things and it is a great opportunity. I totally recommend. I was able to model in the wedding industry, high-end fashion designers, travel around the United States, and potential go over-seas. They do ask to pay but so do all agency. In addition, some people feel as though the agency can be cruel and rude, but that is not the case. I feel people don’t understand the agency is giving constructive criticism and looking out for your best interest. Don’t be afraid to voice your opinion to your agent.
I paid a lot of money because it was my dream and did the 3 days bootcamp. Open call are on Wednesday which I’ve never received. I didn’t not of it was a yes or a no. They should at least call every person even if it a NO. I went back one day they told me to do my runway walk then one of the two judges told me to work on my walk. Anyway, I am very disappointed. But I’m not giving up on my dream.
I just took the modeling "camp": 3 day seminar on the ins and outs of the modeling world. I enjoyed it and felt that I gained useful insight and tips that helped me improve my skills in just those 3 days. But you have to take it seriously and put the effort in, take notes, practice, and ask questions. I would recommend people take it before heading blind into the industry. An area I think could improve is the photoshoot portion. All other classes provided you with training, coaching, and critiques. However this one, arguably one of the most important, only gave a sort of "pressure test" as to what it may be like when a photographer is depending on you. It may have helped with those first time jitters, but it would have been much more beneficial if we were being couched to help produce quality photos. Instead it was: you have 10 shots. make them good. ready go. next! I wished we were assisted with notes like, "this pose would be better if you used the hand that is furthest from the camera", or, "now lean your weight on to the back foot instead so..." like I have received on actual shoots that others may not have experienced yet.
This agency is absolutely a joke. Once you go into open call every Wednesday, there are 2 ladies with Jacob that appear inside the room sitting in front of a computer. There is one light black lady who is a total drama queen. She judges everyone by the way they look and make nasty comments whispering into the other ladies ears. She don't know what she talking about. She have some type of bipolar disorder or mental issues. At one time she is all quiet like somebodies funeral is being held. On another hand, she laughs so hard giving the agency a hardcore earthquake. I'm talking about a light fair complexion black lady with curly hair. She finds everything wrong with every model out there. She don't know that this same thing can happen to her in the future. Just by holding the position as a judge, doesn't mean you gonna loose your self-esteem. She have no respect to others whatsoever. God knows who hired her a a judge in the first place. She just discriminating all the models out there based on race and color. Never join this agency ever again.
