Important to know if you are planning to rent a gun here: they will ask you for an ID, and ask a test to know how to unload the mag from the pistol and how to lock the chamber ! While on the place the staff was unfriendly and unwilling to help. So we ended up going to the competition !! T** G** ! and sadly you lost two clients ! Let me tell you, in that other place they don’t ask for those bureaucratic things and you are able to do your business quick and easy, as it should be !
Don’t even bother reading the negative comments from unsatisfied people who haven’t been to a professional gun range. This place is super clean, very well organized, easy to navigate thru the process of renting a gun and the staff was there to do their job. Before lending a gun, they make sure you know how to operate a gun in the most basic terms to make sure you have some idea. In my opinion this is a great way of determining if their clients are efficient with what they say. I have asked a lot of questions and got the help I needed. I am not a huge gun person. So, I am not as knowledgeable as some of the veterans in this field. I felt confident during the whole experience which is a huge plus since like I said, I am not a huge gun person. I would like to mention some of the team members who have helped me. Mr. Rheily who gave me great recommendation and introduction to their range. He was super helpful and easy to talk to. Mr. Seth and Ms. Lauren who helped me rent 3 pistols in total. 1 glock, 1 HK VP9 and a S&W which I enjoyed a lot. Mr. Doug was there to help me during the range practice and showed me great tips which I really appreciated. Overall, I’ve been to multiple gun ranges in the area but the one that will stay in my mind is definitely Athena.
Pleasant staff, lovely facility and a great selection of firearms for rent.
Athena Gun Club is the perfect place to try shooting for the first time. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Chris, many thanks for everything! The place was also well supervised. I strongly recommend this place for first timers.
I have been using this range for a little over a year now and have been very pleased with the overall experience. They are not the cheapest option but I think it is very reasonable for the facility they offer. The range is well maintained and the location is central in town with good parking. The staff are generally very friendly and professional as well.
Best range in Houston by far. Very reasonable prices, best customer service, and an excellent selection of firearms for rental or purchase. Ultra clean and the range is well ventilated
One word: Chris! The guy is an absolute legend of a gun trainer. My mom and I came in as absolute beginners and his patience, kindness, and breadth of skill had us shooting bullseyes by the end of the lesson. I can’t speak for any of the other gun trainers there, but I can say Chris is the guy you should be asking for next time you visit the club!!!
This place is so awesome. Very clean. Customer service is elite. From the person that greets you at the door, to the person that checks you in. The gentlemen that assists you to your lane. Even the delightful gunsmith! Bless that man’s wonderful soul he is so informative. Purchased my first firearm here. Will purchase the rest of them from here as well. 10/10 would recommend.
They do have a lot of recommendation and good of the people that works there. All the people are good and good customer service and fixing other things for customers and they have good employees that works for this company. I recommendation to actually come by and service with them and they have good things in there and Val for everybody to come by and actually take a look at it, they have everything else recommendation
probably the best indoor range in Houston. super clean, good rates and never witnessed stupid behavior like other places. I was surprised to see some really good prices in the gun shop and picked up a Springfield cheaper than even a few other shops that offered a discount.
