Neal's The Hair Studio & Day Spa

I am in love with the haircut I got here. John is so sweet and knew exactly what my hair needed to bring it back to life. I’m so glad I came to Neal’s, the quality cut, salon atmosphere, and good conversation is hard to come by these days. I won’t be going elsewhere for haircuts anymore! Neal knows and loves what he’s doing!! Great experience, amazing service, and fabulous hair I do have to note though that Neal has his own style and way of doing things, but always be confident in yourself and don’t be scared to stand your ground if you want something cut or styled a certain way

Truly loved my experience with Neal today - what’s more, I received a tremendous discount as a student. I got exactly what I wanted: textured/wavy hair in about 2 hours, along with a simple trim. I was hesitant at first because Asian hair is difficult, but Neal is a real professional and was totally comfortable with my hair. The salon is like no other, it’s special. Neal is really easy to talk to and has the most interesting stories! I highly recommend getting your hair done here if you’re in Baltimore!

I love, love, love my new do. And I had so much fun getting it done too. Neal is always full of great stories to entertain while he works up his masterpiece. I was concerned that the cut I wanted might not work with my hair, but I trust his judgement. He said it would look great and work well for me and it does. He knew just what to do with my thick, uneven waves. He really knows his work - knew just how to translate the look I wanted to the type of hair I have and lifestyle I lead. I have been going to Neal's for over 20 years. The service is amazing and the atmosphere and company cannot be beat. Joe and Neal are always honest about what will look good and what will not. They also always listen to my needs since I am not someone to spend an hour on my hair everyday. You will leave there looking and feeling great as well as possibly with a CD of showtunes made with love by Neal.

This is the first review I have ever written online but I felt the need to say something about how wonderful this place is! Joe cut my hair and was wonderful! He did a great job making my hair look healthy and gave me lots of tips on how to style my hair for my face as well as some make-up tips! Both Joe, Neal and everyone at the front desk are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I felt very at ease and left incredibly happy. From speaking with them both it is clear they are passionate about hair, customer service, and being a part of Baltimore city. I am a student and came for their half off deal on Tuesday-- amazingly affordable. I can't wait to come back!

Best hair studio in Batlimore, I highly recommend it! When you go to Neal's you not only leave with a beautiful new cut and color, but you also walk out feeling fabulous. Neal's the Hair Studio is hands down the best place to have your hair done. After getting highlights from Neal's I receive compliments for weeks after- that is how good of a job he does. The environment at Neal's is unbeatable. The music, the conversation, and the people make this place worth coming back to- not to mention the extraordinary hair styling. I recently had an Olaplex treatment, done by Neal himself, and my hair has never been healthier. It shines like diamonds in the sun and the blonde highlights stand out like they never have before. Neal and Joe take the time to explain to you how to take care of your hair; they are committed to their clients and use their talent and charisma to provide the best possible experience. It took me a long time to find a place that I trust to get my hair cut, colored, and treated. When I first moved to Baltimore I would bounce around from hair studio to hair studio trying to find someone who would take proper care of my hair and do my blonde highlights without making my hair look streaky. Now that I have found Neal's I'll never go anyplace else! This hair studio is perfect for anyone looking for a fun and energetic place to receive excellent hair care- I highly recommend it!

I was new to the area and just happened to walk by this hair salon shop where my life was changed by this charismatic, charming, HANDSOME man. He made my entire day, with his flamboyant stories about his life- his knowledge on hair styles and what looks good is just jaw dropping. I was shocked and am still shocked at this hidden gem.
