Nectar Cafe & Juice Bar

Wow! Nectar has created magic with their breakfast sandwich! I ordered it without bacon because I’m not a fan but the combo of croissant, grilled ham, egg, tomato, and creamy mustard was easily one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted! I was not a fan of the sweet potato has and wish they had an option for regular breakfast potatoes but I subbed out the hash for toast the next day and liked it a lot. The only thing that was mildly off-putting was that there were a ton of flies in the restaurant but I did notice a lot of flies in the area in general. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town!

We arrived and were seated just before a rush. Food was average: tasty, reasonable portions for the price at a beach town, but nothing remarkable. Very well executed over easy eggs, though! Our juice was strong but certainly provided extra energy after our late night and long drive. Unfortunately, the service was lacking, and we found ourselves enduring an extreme wait for our check...rather disappointing when a meal takes away from time on the beach.

We have been visiting Nectar for years. It has never disappointed, from the food, to the atmosphere to staff. Until this weekend. We came in for breakfast, on a Friday morning, it wasn't as busy as it usually is. We were seated in the back along the wall where there is bench seating and chairs. There were two couples to our left and right, and quite frankly we would have been very uncomfortably smooshed between everyone. When I asked for the table behind us I was told, sorry hon, that's for four people. Seriously, as someone who works in the service industry, I was offended, as service people we always strive to make the customer experience the best we can. We opted to sit up front at the window bar. I watched who came in and out the entire time, and not one four top came in. Ever. We were so put off by this that it ruined our perception of the place. Not mention, the usual bubbly friendly staff were grouchy and unacomadating. Boo Nectar you lost two long term guests.

Visiting from San Diego. Amazing breakfast and drinks. I highly recommend the surf and turf bloody Mary.

Healthy choices. Good prices. Pleasant ambiance. A wonderful place for a snack, light meal, or substantial meal.
