Neptune Park in Virginia Beach offers a delightful coastal experience. The park features well-maintained grounds, a sandy beach with picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean, and a lively atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy various recreational activities, from beach volleyball to picnics. The iconic Neptune statue adds a touch of charm to the area. Lifeguards ensure beachgoers' safety, and the overall cleanliness of the area is commendable. Whether you're into water sports, sunbathing, or simply taking a leisurely stroll, Neptune Park provides a welcoming environment. However, it's worth noting that the popularity of the park can lead to crowded conditions during peak times. Some visitors may prefer a more serene setting, especially if looking for a quiet retreat. Additionally, seasonal factors like weather and water conditions can influence the overall experience. In summary, Neptune Park in Virginia Beach offers a vibrant coastal destination with a range of activities for beach enthusiasts. While it may get busy, the positive aspects, including cleanliness and amenities, make it a notable spot for those seeking a lively beach experience.
The area around the statue was very nice and all the art work was beautiful. We went in off-season on a weekday so it wasn’t crowded at all. The only downside is we couldn’t find any changing rooms or “private” showers. They did have outside wash stations though. We also went back at dark and it felt like a very safe area as the boardwalk is very lit up.
Awesome views of the water and beaches from the boardwalk. The statue is well maintained and the area is clean with no litter or garbage around. The hotel we stayed at was right by the statue and it was definitely a hot attraction. The water was a but chilly but it was worth the trip!
Pretty cool park and location and deffinate must when in Virginia Beach and we also were lucky and got to see the sand sculpture championship and parade
The statue of King Neptune is truly a beautiful work of art. The detail is amazing. It's a great place to take pictures. I'm not sure why it's called a park, as it is right on the boardwalk, beach side. There is a small grassy area with a very nice stage across the boardwalk street side from it, so maybe that's the park portion of it.
Beautiful spot to spend your day at. We had a great time here during our vacation. The weather wasn’t as great as we hoped but it was all good. This is a great place for day picnics and just hanging around to refresh. There is also a playground nearby within few steps if you plan on bringing your kids.
The scenery was beautiful. Pictures really don't give the Neptune statue's details. The beach looked beautiful, but it was way too cold
As a former Californian who has spent a good amount of time on Pacific beaches and in the Pacific ocean, I was pretty impressed with Virginia Beach. I actually like it more than most California beaches, at least, on this beautiful June day. Not sure how it is the rest of the year.
Great vibe. Beach kept clean. Feels relaxed walking around this place and spending time here. Lots of restaurants, pubs, drinking place, ice cream places are found near by. Could get great pictures. Bikes are available for rent near this place. This place is on the boardwalk
Very cool place! The beach was awesome. Everything was clean. We enjoyed our visit.
