New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science

We spent over four hours here and didn't see everything. The space exhibits were enthralling for the kids. As out of state visitors, we liked that authentic artifacts from New Mexico were specifically noted. Great experience!

We go about once a month. The staff is great and helpful. My daughter always wants to hold a snake and they let her pick which one. They also let her hold for a long time. My other daughter loves getting to touch dinosaurs bones and figure out what species they are. They have a few she can touch and she loves it. They also have a elevator ride to take about different time periods in New Mexico. My three girls all enjoy it. They love look at the different planets, the earthquake system, and seeing the rocks.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a planetarium, 3D theater, and currently a special exhibit on Da Vince. I had no idea New Mexico was so involved in multiple scientific research areas to include NASA. They have a good section on space, although it still had Pluto as a planet which shows how often it is updated. On that note, they referenced the USSR in their volcano exhibit.

I absolutely love it here. No trip is ever the same and the way they have continuously added more and more over the years has always been the best. Imax, planetarium and dinosaurs leave everyone in awe.

Went on Star Wars night. May 4th. It was great. The museum staff is wonderful and friendly and the museum itself is everything I remember. Loved seeing the dinosaurs again.
