Dr Soboroff and his staff are the best. I have been bringing my two cats to NYCH since they were kittens. I feel confident knowing that Dr Soboroff checks them annually and is there when any issues come up. He has advised us on behavioral issues, food recommendations, and minor ailments. He handles all with his same kind, calm demeanor - charming every kitty in his care.
Dr. Gerber and the vet techs were excellent with both of my almost-elderly girls 10 and 12, they were calm, caring, prompt, and friendly. The techs were amazing, skillfully drawing blood and other samples without my girls uttering a peep or swatting at all -- and you know cats are usually NOT okay with any of this! Dr. Gerber spent as much time as I needed answering all of my questions, both during and after the visits. Having experienced several vet practices over the course of my girls' lifetimes their original vet retired and was bought out by Banfield - ugh, beginning an odyssey which has finally ended, I understand now why my local friends take their cats here to NY Cat Hospital.
I have new kitten, she had her first appointment with Dr. Gerber. It was a great experience. Very welcoming and the appointment did not feel rushed at all. I was able to ask questions. As a cat mom to an elderly cat that passed away recently, that did not have the best experiences with veterinarians, I was hoping to find a place that makes you feel like they care about the animals they're treating. I found that at New York Cat Hospital. Gil the veterinary assistant was great and very informative as well.
The experience I had with New York Cat Hospital was outrageous. I don't have problem with Dr. Soboroff. He was nice with my three year old Ragdoll, and I think it is mainly because he has never been sick. All we need was regular check-up and some vaccines. However, since last year, the customer service/reception at the hospital has become horrible. At first it was just hanging up on me because the receptionist thought my four letter name sounded like scam. And then it became threatening me to cancel an appointment I scheduled two months in advance. I will attach some screenshots for proof. Their way of dealing with clients is the worst, and they prey on your kindness of being understanding. I don't recommend anyone who has busy schedule/or just any nice people going there.
Dr. Soboroff and all the staff at NYCH are simply the kindest, sweetest, and most caring veterinarians in the city of New York. They treat every cat like it's their own, they're compassionate, and I've come to trust them implicitly. I've had two cats over the past twenty years. One passed away in my arms at the vet, and the other is 20 and still going strong, thanks to the team at NYCH. I'd never go anywhere else.
Extremely professional, compassionate care for our cat! They quarterbacked a care plan for our cat who arrived experiencing heart failure due to HCM. Dr. Lander helped through a very difficult time and created a medication regime that has our feline feeling 110% better than before. Fair and informed prices made the care experience much easier as well. Box cat is after recovery while carrier cat was during the episode. You can see the difference.
Very professional, excellent communication, and above all they really care. Dr. Abrahams was amazing, confident, and very knowledgeable. We felt that our cat was in the best of hands at all times. She went above and beyond to help us understand what was happening to our cat and what we needed to do.
We had labs done for our cat, Franklin, and Dr. Gerber called us when she had the results and gave us a full run-down of his lab chart. We are so grateful that she took the time to explain his labs to us in a way that we could understand and assured us that he was a healthy kitty. Really friendly staff overall!
My first visit with fur baby- good quality care. Dr Casper was attentive, and knowledgeable. I love that she personally responded via email to my concerns.
Finding a really good veterinarian in the city these days can be challenging. I am so happy I found the New York Cat Hospital. I would like to thank Dr. Soboroff and his staff for the kindness and compassion they showed towards myself and my cats during our visit with him. Dealing with sick pets can be very anxiety provoking. Dr. Soboroff’s gentle approach laid to rest any doubts or fears I may have had and I am forever grateful for that.
