Just added new equipment and its magnificent. The staff specially Carmen, and the rest of the morning crew are amazing! Truly A++ service. Always clean, never too packed again, I go in the Morning and the machines/weights are brand new so it feels like a whole new gym. Spacious! 2 DEADLIFTING PLATFORMS IN A COMMERCIAL GYM?! What?!! My only suggestion is i wish that it was open at 5am or open a tad bit later. Still 5/5
4/25 - new equipment is nice, but the weight lifting floor is still dwarfed by 3 floors of cardio equipment, and there has been an uptick in membership making it harder to get a workout in before 830a 12/7/2021 @7a 1hr after opening Equipment is sparse and never restacked and cable machines have been missing labels and remain unattended to. Its a lackluster in all capacities
I really like this gym. It is simple and has space and loads of machines and is good value for money. The Receptionist is always very friendly on weekday mornings which is really appreciated! Only thing that I didn’t really like are the classes.
The experience I had at this gym was amazing Azorn help me out with getting my membership here and helped answer all of my questions and concerns about the gym. he had walked me through everything about the gym step step gave me a tour around the gym and he made me feel welcomed here he gave great customer service! Will definitely be coming here long term.
Maybe a touch better than Crunch but inferior. I live in New York City, my whole life I am been to many gyms never before—Did I have to fill out a waiver to talk to somebody about membership to view the club— no one answers the phone— many years ago I was a member here and it went downhill and then I joined New York health and racquet family-owned and wonderful—10 notches above New York sports. Unfortunately many clubs did not reopen after the pandemic— particularly loved the one on York and 76th— I’d rather work out at home then go to NYSC— or it would make better sense to go to real budget gym like planet, fitness or blink at least there I’m not paying for poor management and inferior accommodations— will join an equinox while more expensive, They certainly put New York sports to shame
This is the gym for you who enjoy tidying up weights after lazy guys. If you’re also into rude staff, particularly at front desk in the morning, this is the place to go! I’ve been at this location the last three years just because there’s no better alternatives nearby. They changed all equipment recently, and took at the same time away some of the most used equipment = prepare for long waiting lines if you wanna do bench press or other popular exercises. Maybe a customer satisfaction survey in advance would have been something?
Nice gym! The price wasn't over the top and relatively good deal for New York City. They have pretty much all the equipment you need. Free weights, Smith machine, Dumbells, barbells, Cardio, a studio, trainers, and much more. They also have showers with soap and shampoo with plenty of lockers and towels.
everything is always broken, the layout on some floors don't make sense; towels, wipes, etc out of stock a lot :/ they def don't upkeep this location like others -the machines i clean prior to use always have a lot of gunk on them. :/ has potential to be a hidden gem, but..
The ventilation/ac doesn’t work and there’s no air flow when it’s 86 outside. Also they run out of wipes to wipe the benches and stuff very often and don’t refill them
The worst gym ever. The gym is so disorganized first of all-- dumbbells all over the place. Second, it is not worth the money 100 a month for nothing. Lastly, they closed the weight floor 4th floor for a week without any refund for those days when I only use that room. Also, I receptionist Carmen is so rude that she was yelling and judging me because why I did not go to other location within an hour walk? the service is crazy bad
