Another Chinese bakery in Chinatown checked off the list for me! Their paper cups are so adorable that I didn’t want to throw it away. Nice One bakery, if you are reading this: please make ceramic versions of the cups! I will buy them.
I have never been here to this location, but have eaten their buns and baked goods for awhile now! They sell them at a local Asian market on Buffalo NY. : My favorite is the black bean bun!
It was a great place to discover when I went to NYC Chinatown in January before Covid. There was my old time favorite, a sticky glutinous rice donut! It was so gooey and tasty with sesame seeds covered, and filled with red beans, which I like the most. What a warm place where I could spend time laughing with the elderly in NYC! I will go there again when I visit NYC one day!
Sponge cake and mantou were moldy the next morning when we opened to eat! There are many bakeries nearby so I do NOT recommend this place.
I would give 4.5 stars, but I thought the customer service wasnt the best. We stumbled upon this place after seeing the crowd. They made a fresh batch of sesame balls. Wow!! My first time having a steaming hot fresh one. It was enormous....crunch on the outside, sticky on the inside. The red bean paste inside was amazing as well. This is all I ordered from here...but I do expect to return and try more pastries.
An authentic chinese bakery with very delicious food for cheap prices. Filled with locals and no one seemed to speak or understand english- that's ok, it's an authentic chinese
My go to bakery in Chinatown. Cash only transaction. Take a beat and figure out what you want before ordering otherwise someone will squeeze in between your order. Fast-paced and efficient. Love the pork buns and the cream-buns. They also have cheap dimsum.
Very warm and friendly owner. He recommended me some amazing soft items my teeth can’t handle hard items for a week. The rice roll with shrimp was delicious. Everything I had was affordable and delicious. Definitely going back
nicest 1 I’ve ever known, like a good friend, this spot always is here for me
Went in to have a seat, floors were dirty, chairs are stacked with disregard for seating, a women tried to charge me $1.75 for a bottle of Arizona, buns tasted stale. On top of everything, They singled out me out of 5 other people for vaccination card. This place is very prejudice against non-chinese... which is funny cuz im actually mixed... I would not recommend this place, there are much better stores nearby!
