We found the food mixed. Some of the dishes were really good and others were just ok. Given the prices didn’t think the quality warranted 4 stars. It was a decent, but unless conveniently in the area don’t think we would go back. There are just too many other great options in Houston.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Food was great, the drinks amazing and out server Erik was the best!! He took care of us and kept our cups refilled through the whole time. Will definitely come back again.
Very attentive to customers from moment of walking in. I can't give more stars because the only thing that I liked was the fresh tortillas and even that they were too thick and filling on the first one. The food was missing something even with a hot sauce the food was bland.
I had very different expectations. I was thinking this was a Mexican restaurant. It is very American. I guess Tex-Mex is what they call it. I requested 2 ground beef tacos. I ended up receiving 3 ground beef tacos on a plate with rice and beans. I will not return here. This style of food is not for me. The people that were dining there did truly look like they were enjoying the food so they are doing something right.
Well what can I say I'm actually a cordon blue chef I used to manage a bunch of high-end steakhouses in Columbus Ohio but I really love Mexican food and I'm married to a Mexican girl and her mother makes the best tortillas ever and she said mine are almost as good as hers LOL but I have to say the tortillas here the beef the pork the chicken the tacos the beans the chips the salsas everything is outstanding and amazing I have been to thousands of Mexican restaurants all around United States and I have to say this is by far one of the finest Mexican food restaurants I've ever tried it's a wholesome environment it's a very lovely place even the bathrooms are very nice as well this is a great place to sit out side under the deck or inside the bar and the rest of the restaurant is absolutely huge there's so much room and so many places and a beautiful fountain in the back corridor there's nothing but great things to say and the service is amazing and our server what was our server Loly was absolutely amazing service first Class all the way friendly courteous and a great sense of humor she made our experience absolutely a wonderful day we were just down taking care of some boots that we had done at Jesse shoe repair does which also does amazing work and then we came over and find this place and it was just an amazing experience all the way around couldn't be happier I strongly recommend you come here the food is amazing the atmosphere is awesome and the people are friendly and courteous and easy going you can tell this is definitely a family establishment it's like going to your favorite Mexican aunt's house Kid-friendliness: As you can see in the pictures that I uploaded there is a play area for children and it's a nice clean environment Parking: It's right off the freeway 45 on the frontage road and it's got a very big parking lot with lots of parking getting in and out of the place is no problem at all and if you're coming from the other direction you just jump on the express make a quick U-turn and you're back on your way you couldn't find a better place in town Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access is easy and friendly and easy to get around inside the facility Dietary restrictions: They have lots of wonderful food that are not meat products you will find this place a very interesting and wonderful tasting food like no other Mexican restaurant you've been to and there's an amazing story that goes along with this lady that originated this place it's no wonder why they're so good at what they do because they've got their heart and soul in the business it's not about the money it's about serving the clientele and taking good care of them and in that environment the money just comes because people love this place and they want to come back over and over this will be our new favorite spot
The ambience of the place is traditional Mexican restaurant flavor. The server was friendly and helpful with suggestions. I ordered the quesodilla. It was OK, a bit chewy. The translucent floor tortilla appeared to be made in house. About an inch from the edge was empty. Also had jalapeño rellenospoppers quiet tasty. The one quesodilla was enough for one person or could be shared. I took a lot home.
We visited Ninfa's the night before driving down to Galveston to embark on a cruise. We're visiting from California. The restaurant was lively and we received quick, efficient service. My bf ordered the carnitas. He found them to be a little dry. I ordered chalupas. They were tasty but I think I was expecting something different likely a regional difference in Mexican food. We did see a roach scurry across one of the booths.
Came here for their lunch and coffee. I got one of their combo plates. It may have been the Tejas plate. It's mostly TexMex options and taste. The food was ok but a bit pricey. There are some cheaper options off the lunch menu. I don't think this location is as good or popular as the one on Navigation. Go to that one instead. Parking: Plenty
Giving it two stars because the customer service our waiter Arturo provided was very good and we didn’t have to wait to be seated, also our food came out super quick! Here’s what we didn’t like, 1. food flavor is lacking, BLAND, 2. food portion was small guac, cheese, and sour cream for fajitas was less than an ounce each 3. how do you mess up home made flour tortillas? Tortillas were thick, small and flavorless. Disappointed, first and last time we visit this restaurant.
I'd forgotten how good the green sauce was. The quality standard is amazing. Tacos al Carbon filled with meat that's juicy and flavorful served on perfectly cooked freshly made tortillas . Amazingly good. For the last few years the prices had kept me away. Now that everywhere else has raised theirs, it makes more sense to pay for the best. Highly recommended!
