My wife and I used Alan's service as an attorney when we sold our house FSBO. This is a flat fee service. We were not impressed by Alan's communications. I'm not going to go into details, but on a few occasions there were misunderstandings that brought a good amount of stress and confusion. Alan is great at communicating over the phone, but not so much over text or email. I have no doubt that you want him on your side if troubles arise. Seems knowledgeable. But when things go smoothly ours was a pretty straightforward sale, hiring an attorney was probably an overkill. And I certainly wish Alan had specified more clearly from the beginning what we could expect from him, and how things would work out. Overall I think I would hire Alan for complex legal issues but I would not recommend him for the kind of service we hired him for. I'm an organized person and like to be on top of things. I understand that the kind of low-key flat fee services we paid for is not his priority, but the problem is that it showed. I like to post 5-stars reviews, but I just can't on that one.

Alan and his team are great at what they do! I like their communication and strategic planning and willingness to push through.

We originally were referred to Alan Nochumson for a Private Equity Real Estate investment transaction. We did several deals together and recently completed a large commercial lease/business transaction. Although the latter took a long time on the Landlord side and with many hurdles, Alan navigated efficiently and professionally over these obstacles, and persisted to the very end with a successful conclusion. Alan Nochumson is just the lawyer you want on your side - when dealing with this property tax mess that Philly has created. Not only has Philly been extra-loving to homeowners by increasing the property taxes, they are not following the recently instituted law regarding appeals and confusing mortgage companies into paying higher taxes which rebounds as a higher monthly mortgage payment - leading to a confused harassed homeowner.
