I’ve been here twice and I would say it’s pretty nice here! I love all the skewers here, especially the chicken oyster and chicken wings! Fried rice was so good too. Price are affordable. Fast service they seeve dish by dish. Definitely will be a loyal customer
Overall the food was amazing!! The service was great and the atmosphere is wonderful. The portions is definitely on the small side and for the price it's a little iffy but it tasted amazing. We all ordered a drink and one of them wasn't to my friends liking Yuzu Mimosa and asked for a new drink..the new drink tasted very watered down.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
Just order whatever you want to eat. Overall the food was good. The person who served our table was kind and his recommendations were great. A place that was worth to try at least one. It just might not be my style. Not a classic Japanese place but also not a creative one. Just in between.
Excellent food and service. My wife has a garlic allergy and they went out of their way to make something for her. Ramen was delicious and drinks were original and delicious. Pricing was fair for NYC. Worth a stop
Very nice, contemporary spot for Japanese fare. They have some interesting cocktails too! The menu items are also decently priced and portion sizes aren’t overboard, might be on the small side for some, but IMO it’s perfect. Just enough to be satisfied, and leaves room to try other menu items like yakitori perfectly grilled or chawanmushi it was deliciously fragrant and so silky. The ramen is so good with rich and flavorful broths, and the cocktails are fun I tried the basil one pictured and it was really good, such a fun flavor combo. Food presentation was also great! All the items were nicely presented and so enticing. The interior decor is also really nice, sort of industrial but also very casual and inviting with high ceilings and some plants, lighter wood tones and a light color palette in general. I would recommend! And would definitely also go back and try more things!
Nice place. Very hospitable. Very nice staff and accommodating. The slave is very small. They offered to take it bags and put in another area so we could sit comfortably. I opted not to have food I just had drinks all night. But my parry had skewers which they advised were delicious. The Basil drink was fantastic and the Lavender drink with the slice of pear was great as well. Drinks wise I can atest to how delicious they are. They are a little pricey but nothing out of the ordinary for a NYC restaurant. Would be nice if there was more space inside. The way to the bathroom was upstairs a little narrow and a little scary over looking the patrons below after a few drinks you feel like you might fall over but still overall a great place Kid-friendliness: Kids can go but it's a very narrow restaurant so there is not most space to move around. May not be much suave for a stroller. Also the food options are mainly skewers so unless your child is into that... it's more of an adult restaurant. Parking: It's in Manhattan you need to find street parking which may be difficult or park in a garage somewhere that would not be owned by the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: There are a few stairs to go down to get into the restaurant no ramp. Plus the space is very narrow so I don't see it being able to be very wheelchair friendly
Mediocre ramen and mostly mediocre yakitori. The Tori Tantan Ramen can’t compare to an actual ramen shop, and the skewers that came in the NoNoNo Experience set were dry and not worth it. The only good food was the extra Mala Kara Pork skewer I ordered. Service was also weird and spotty. Food didn’t come out all at once, even though this was for lunch and ordered per person, not for the table. We had to wait awkwardly for 5+ minutes for one person’s food to come out and was prompted by the server that we should eat the yakitori before it got cold. That wouldn’t be an issue if everything was timed correctly?? Lastly, everything is quite pricey with small portions. Will not be back for the mediocre food.
yakitori was truly excellent- the best skewers we got were the mala pork and the spicy chicken wings. the vegetables were also amazing… order all of them! the cocktails were also very good. the only part of the meal that was below average was the service… there were many mix-ups and we were struggling to find our waitress at many times. however, the food is totally worth coming here! there are two stories- on the bottom floor, you get to watch the chefs roast the yakitori over the fire.
Excellent meal and very fun experience for all getting to try a great tasting selection of yakitori plus many other Japanese cuisine hits. Everything was made to order. Also had some awesome ramen and the chawanmushi was divine. Service was excellent and attentive. Good place to go with a group or with someone just to relax and enjoy some good food.
Cute spot with a big menu but some items are more misses than home runs. Tried the chawanmushi, some yakitori, grilled salmon, and a noodle dish. Their yakitori and grilled salmon belly were definitely the highlights of the meal, they had really rich and balanced flavors.
