Great local famiky owned art supply store. Great selection of craft materials for children. Also carry a good selection if yarns and paper. They will even order materials for the discerning artist such as canvas, oils and stretcher bars. My daughter and I loved visiting and found it inspiring and fun. They even have a small area for children to be creative and true artists. Support local ARTISTS! Tjey are what makes Brooklyn so beautiful.
I love Norma's Arts and Crafts Supplies! This shop carries many up-to-date products and keeps their shelves stocked with many projects and easy to do crafts i.e. knitting, ceramics, sketching. Unfortunately, if you are looking to give them a tip, they do not have a tip jar or accept monetary gifts. Just continue shopping at this little store and providing them with your patronage and support!
Everyone here is always so lovely! They have a small selection but it's enough for a mom and pop craft shop in Bay Ridge - I've only not found an item I've needed once and they reassured me they would set it aside when the next shipment arrived. Lovely shop <3
Not a crafty person myself but I had a daunting gift to purchase for an 11 year old whose taste was unknown to me. Norma's was recommended and I found what I needed, and a few other choice gifts to throw in. Everything was very well received by the recipient. It's not a big place, but the buyer has a good eye. Staff is friendly and I had a good conversation during my visit.
So helpful! I have not had the need to do any arts and crafts in a long time. The opportunity came up for a work event to do something creative. I was happy and feel lucky there's a place like Norma's not too far from me. Also, they were so helpful while I was there whenever I had a question. The simple tips and tricks of the trade offered were extremely helpful. Thanks so much!
What a jewel of a shop! From amateur to professional artist, they have what you need. Customer Service is #1 and they excellent at hit. A nice assortment of goods, you can start a project, pick up something to keep the kids busy or choose a gif, for someone special. Check t.
Norma's is the absolute best! Always has the art supplies I need. Follows safety protocols for the kids. Fantastic painting projects and party options. We Norma's!
They were going out of business wene the covid thing started and there doors were closed, but now they are open and I went there to just look around but left with $40. Roller worth of stuff, little things I didn't need, like butyfull peacocks pins to brother up my bedroom, and some Velcro to put ony tv remote control that is always lost,so I just spent instinctively.hotta stop that.but the place was cheerful, clean and full of parents and there offspring.so I give them 4stars, however if things change so will there rating.
Small, welcoming and friendly shop. I was looking for a hobby store in the city which seem to be extinct and found this one. Great customer service - patient, helpful, polite. The shop has cozy environment, unbeatable prices and honestly, feels like they have more craft supplies than Michael's.
I visited Norma's today. The space is cozy and the owners are inviting - with top notch customer service. First, my mother and I each selected a wooden piece to paint. Next, we were graciously seated in a corner table with paint colors of our choice, brushes, aprons, and accessories colored jewels/beads. You pay for the wooden piece and a nominal fee six bucks to sit and paint- everything else included. As time passed, a small group of children/mothers joined us at the table. Regardless of the varying parties painting and other customers shopping, the owners remains attentive to all. They kindly and genuinely complimented each painter and refreshed paint/water as needed. It was a lovely experience. I will spread a kind word about this crafty gem in Bay Ridge, 3rd ave. and plan to visit again soon!
