Central Ohio's authentic public market + est 1876
Founded in 1876, the North Market is Columbus’ only remaining public market. It is the historical home of local butchers, bakers, fishmongers, greengrocers and farmers. Over the years our merchant offerings have expanded to include ethnic foods, gourmet groceries and unique gifts. The Market is managed by North Market Development Authority, a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a true public market that preserves and renews a unique experience for all members of the community by nurturing local merchant entrepreneurship, providing fresh and abundant food and food-related merchandise, sponsoring seasonal festivals and through the preservation of a historic public facility.
