Seems a good bit overpriced but the selection was decent and they're open pretty late. I'm not sure if I was intentionally overcharged or if they just have high prices in general; I won't be going back to find out.
My friend and I walked in. We are in our sixties. Every aisle we went to, he had his eye on us. I don't need that, plus the store doesn't carry much. Smh
This store owner price gouges. Example, the bourbons… weller 12 and even lot b don’t go for 400 and 1000 on secondary easily. I’d say 200 and 700, but even so, taking advantage of those who don’t know msrp, secondary market… I’ll never shop here.
Decent selection and one of the few places open later in this area.
Staff wasn't very helpful standard liquor store...
Since I moved to the neighborhood last year, Norton's has been my go-to spot for all my alcohol needs. They've got a respectable craft beer selection, especially for a store of their size; I've been able to find pretty niche stuff from the west coast that I don't see in most other places. The owners are super friendly and seem to get along with regular customers. And they do tastings with local wine sellers on Saturdays maybe Fridays too which is great for expanding your horizons and supporting locals! Some of the beers are a little pricier than I would expect > $13 for a 4-pack from Night Shift but generally you can get 6-packs of classics like Fat Tire and 90-minute for under $12. Overall, prices are very reasonable, especially given that they have a super convenient location right on Mass Ave and their own private parking lot in a fairly dense business area. I think the previous ownership was perhaps not the greatest it was before I moved so I can't personally comment which is why you may see some less than positive reviews on reviews prior to 2019. The new owners, however, are fantastic and I wish them continued success in the coming years.
New owner of the store he is very nice. He changed up the store it's we'll organized and clean. There's new fruity drinks and all different varieties of beers/wines ect. I reccomend coming here again!
The owner lied to me when I asked for the cheapest brandy. He showed me the largest bottle and got mad a his wife because she was being honest. He lost me as a costumer for lying. He could have won me if we was on my side and honest. Jerk
I love the people at Norton Liquors! They are real human beings with no pretensions. Great guys with good products at great prices.....though I'd pay more if they charged more just because who they are. And they have the full line of Barefoot wine! They're the best!
North Cambridge is still a little rough around the edges. You would expect though a little more effort here though. It's like time traveling going into the store, and I'm absolutely telling you not in a good way.
