Got a great car from this dealership back in the summer, my friend Dan was working here in the summer and when I told them I got my license he asked what kind of car I was looking for, I told him preferably a Jeep and he sent me the link to the 2005 Jeep Laredo they had on the lot, three days after I got my license I drove off the lot in a great car. The only real problem I had with the car is a couple of flats from running over debris in the road, great car, and got me and my friend to the coast and back for last hurrah the summer trip. Next time I need a car I will be a repeat customer.
I bought a hyundai sonata from nwauto about a week ago. It can always be a risk buying a used car as is, but as far as I can tell all my car needs is a new idler pulley. The staff was very helpful and gave me a great deal. Out of all the other used car dealerships I went to this place had the best selection of cars that don't seem like they might fall apart on your drive home. Buying used cars stresses me out but if I ever need another I'll definitely go back there before any other lot.
Worked with John while I was looking at a vehicle they had up for sale. Great guy and easy going. Ran into some mechanical issues and they took care of it as quick as they could! A easy and no pressure experience with these guys. Will definitely keeps these guys in mind the next time I'm in the market for another vehicle. Great Crew!
I highly recommend this dealership! They were laid back. I went to see a vehicle that I saw online, they didn't try to show me everything but the one I had researched and had my eye on, unlike other dealership experiences I have had in the past when thats exactly what they did and wasted my time telling me what I needed or not showing me anything that met my needs & lifestyle. They let me look at exactly what I wanted to see. Test drive it the moment I got there. Were upfront with the car fax and maintenance report on the vehicle. They were honest about glitches the vehicle I wanted had over the years during manufacturing that didn't preform well and had mechanical / trans issues. Like SMOD. They were contentious of my time and didn't waste it. Personal pet peeve of mine since I always have very limited time!. When I asked questions about other 4 wheel drives they had in stock being potentials they were honest again about how many they would recommend or not, based on my needs and what I was looking for. When I said I wanted to sleep on it. No pressure when I left. So I came back the next day, told them what I had to spend and they worked with me, so much that I was able to afford the 3 year warranty as well as the vehicle. Huge bonus I hadn't expected to afford at all or even considered. I was not a big fan of purchasing a used vehicle off of 82nd because of a previous experience I had in the past at a different dealership, I definitely hesitated to go look at this vehicle because it was located on 82nd! Lol I even braced myself for drama when I decided to give it a try. However, I was pleasantly suprised. I think they genuinely get the working class, regular folks, who just need honest advise and the most reliable transportation we can get with our limited finds for our families and jobs out here. That impressed me as well. They were very down to earth & family orientated. Yup. I had a great experience and will go back when I am ready for another one or to help my adulting kids purchase their 1st vehicles.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I went to look at a truck I saw posted online. They were asking 3 grand more than what it was worth. Do yourself a favor and do some research before coming here. Every car they have is way over priced. They told me the truck was in great shape, when, being someone who has a lot of experience working on cars, it obviously had a lot of issues that would cost a lot in the near future. Then they tried to get me to sign onto a deal with 14 percent interest. I talked to another guy at the lot, and he had test drove a truck that worked just fine. When he signed the papers and drove it off the lot, it broke down on Powell. Apparently the truck had no oil, transmission fluid, or coolant in it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THESE GUYS ARE CON ARTISTS OUT TO MAKE A BUCK.
Probably worst experience I've had buying a car. Brian attempted to help by fixing the car I bought by replacing the cam sensor and chain . It was cool of them doing that, but they needed to have the car fixed before actually selling it to...and that is that I inquired about it a week before I went to check it out. The car spent a week with them. While they fixed it, they loaned me a car that too had issues. 99' Dodge Durango had no working turn signals...they said to use hand signals....like really??? Like cmon, i expected more from the dealership if they care about their new customers. If you do buy a car from here, have it inspected thoroughly, but for me it's hard to recommend them after this experience and this will definitely be the last car I'll buy from here.
I spent the whole day going up and down 82nd avenue, only going out for the experience of dealing with car salesmen. I had no intention of purchasing a car anytime soon. I got to NW Auto, and was very impressed. So impressed I ended up buying a 2006 dodge charger from them not more than a week later. The only issue it was was a faulty switch for interior lighting, which was an easy fix. They were nice, honest, and family friendly. Thanks NW Auto!!
Absolutely rude. They appeared nice and got us interested in a car. Told us to come back the next day to pick it up after they looked at our finances but ended up selling it to someone else that same day without even telling us. They tried to offer us a car triple the cost of the first.
If you go here ask for John. He knows what he’s doing, he’s so kind and helpful, and made it the best car experience I’ve ever had. My new Toyota Yaris is perfect for me and I love it. If you’re shopping for a car in the Portland area I highly recommend NW Auto.
