Severely overworked their employees. I pulled a little over 39 hours in a 3day period. I had over 90 hours of pto amd when I was sick with Influenza A, they tried firing me. Thats 2 days of double shifts 16 hours each and a single 8 hour shift. Tried working at another newer facility of theirs and the dchs found one cobweb in the entire building, behind a pipe
She then told me to I needed to clean a window 4feet above my head. I was told to climb on top of vanity to clean the tops of mirrors. Maintenance told me they had no ladders available for me to use. Last, I checked I was a caregiver not a maintenance tech or cleaning service. What is really sad is the massive turnover rate. Not a place I would put my loved ones either. I should share my story about my first day and why I almost did not come back from lunch. Eventually after lots of tears I thought I would try to make a difference, seriously though do not bother they do not make an effort to change for the better.

They fire their employees for being sick and not being able to come in work. You only get 4 days to know all the residents. They are short staffed and over work their employees. Their Manager of Housing is unprofessional.

My grandfather has been here several times over the last few years, and though the circumstances are always difficult, he loves this place. The staff is good - of course, some are just better at their jobs than others. We have had some disorganization issues with nursing staff, however, problems are always resolved quickly.
But overall, the support staff (social workers, therapy team, etc.) are very compassionate, understanding folks. This is always our #1 choice when it comes to rehab.

We are impressed with the care and kindness our Mother has been receiving here. Ian, LeoMarys, Robin, Kathy Ranee and the CNA's Otho, Michele, Carolyn, Nick and so many more. ( I never met all ) While it is busy their kindness and care always came through. Thank you. Dusty's daughter Maureen

Oak Park Place is a beautiful senior community in a great neighborhood on the East Side of Madison. They offer many options for seniors including the Arbors Independent Living, Assisted Living, Autumn Lane Memory Care, Skilled Nursing Care, and Rehabilitation Services. The dedicated staff strives to ensure residents stay as independent as possible while providing support to ensure worry-free living. The buildings are bright and sunny. The best part of walking through Oak Park Place was seeing a few ladies smiling as they received perms and manicures in the beauty shop. Then I passed the Grandview café that was serving a traditional Wisconsin-style Friday Fish Fry. Yum!
