Great variety of plants, saplings, indoor, outdoor accessories. Big collections. They have different water fountains, little expensive. Zen windchains, Summer collections, flowers, artificial creepers, pots, etc are available at this store. There is mud, mulch, organic feeders, organic mixers etc, required planting tools are also available. Parking is little congested during summer as crowd is busy. Friendly staff. There is small lemonade stall inside as it’s summer.
This is a great place to take your kids on a sunny afternoon. Shannon has helped us out a couple times and was awesome. Some of the younger staff were not as great. Everything here looks like it is taken care of well for the customers to take home. Great spot for everything gardening.
Fantastic nursery - huge japanese maple selection, and herb selection too, their greenhouse isn't huge but very well maintained and interesting selection there too. Also big selection of pots etc too.
this place is heaven for any plant/ garden lover. when i had my apartment and wanted house plants, this location always had what i needed and now that i own a home with a yard, i’ve come to depend on oakland! i could easily spend hours here at a time
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Lots of variety. Prices can range but the deals are amazing. Went to them to start an outdoor container garden. All of the seedlings I got from them I got have flourished. Still need to read and research and be attentive to your individual plants, but the Oakland nursery will have almost, if not, everything you need to be successful.
This review is about their Christmas trees in Pickerington on Hill road. We have bought from this location in years past and had stopped for a while due to the trees often dropping their needles and had been cutting our own at the local tree farms. Since we are older and can no longer cut our own; My husband stopped there this last Tuesday Nov 30th, and they assured him the trees were fresh cut. The trees were three times as expensive as last year; but he bought one hoping it would be a good tree, and worth the money. It is now Dec 4th. We put the tree in water the same day we brought it home. It had a fresh cut on the end. We let it rest for three days before trying to decorate it; keeping the water full and checking the tree frequently. We are decorating today and over half the needles have fallen off already. This tree must have been cut at least a month ago and certainly not stored well. Very disappointed for 150.00 for an 8 foot tree I truly expected it to last and hold up for more than five days. I have amended my review to 4 stars as when I called Oakland Ivan was very kind and offered to replace the tree. We have decided against that as that would require a tremendous undertaking to take the lights and everything back off but at least that was an option. I would recommend if you don’t feel like decorating twice to really check the tree at the lot well; give it a strong shake to see how many needles drop and see if the needles are yellowing or browning at all. We have noticed that after closer inspection. The tree looked beautiful at first glance just was dried out and falling apart already. Since Oakland Nursery does have good customer service and stands behind their products I suspect their supplier was less than honest about when they cut and how they stored the trees.
I LOVE THIS STORE. Plants, garden supplies, and everything in between. My favorite place in the shop is the greenhouse. I cannot go in there without buying an exotic plant to re-home. Jodi is always in there with expert advice on how to take best care of these delicate babies. She is always extremely kind and helpful. I consider these plants investment pieces. I bought a baby fiddle figabout 4" at a very nice price a few years ago and now it is taller than six feet! The entire staff is always very helpful and ready to get you where you need to go or what supplies you need. This shop blows Straders out of the WATER!
I purchased over $1000 dollars worth of perennials from this location midway through August. Just 2 Lavender plants didn't end up making it so I tried to return them 9/28. Because I was 10 days past the 30 day return policy, the manager would not refund me them. Even though I had spent over $1000 and was successful with 98% of the plants planted, they wouldn't do anything for me. That kind of customer service is why I guess a lot of landscapers do not buy from them, nor will I in the future.
Lots of house plants to choose from in various sizes. Very reasonably priced. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The seasonal offerings were plentiful. The nursery is well organized.
Allways a great selection and knowledgeable staff. Very reasonable prices especially if you are a member of Franklin County Conservatory. Also great community involvement which gets major bonus points from our family - we visited today during their fall festival and so many little kiddos enjoying free petting zoo, pig races, bouncy house and hay rides; Our daughter loved it! Thanks, O.N.!
