Oakwood Hills

I own a well known local Damage Restoration firm that is certified nationally by the IICRC. My company performed emergency services for Oakwood Hills Retirment Center in January 2018 when they called me at 5am on a holiday weekend when a pipe burst on the third floor and flooded 12 residences and common areas on the second and first floors. After long days mitigating the damage and removing the standing water and initiating drying of the structure and helping the residents protect their personal property and belongings, a rude unappreciative district manager Tim Harkness demanded we remove our drying equipment before the structure was certified dry because it wasnt in his $5,000.00 budget and they need to get their residents back in their rooms. He had the local manager sign a waiver releasing my company from liability from remaining moisture remaining in the flooring and walls of the structure and from any future mold growth. Tim Harkness had also never submitted my invoice for payment and I have not been paid. When money and profits are more important than the well being, safety, and health of the residents, I personally would not recommend this facility.

I would never leave my family member in the care of Oakwood Hills staff. The activity director Kim is disrespectful, rude, undercover cruel, not helpful, unprofessional and mean. She does this all while holding a smile on her face. She is one bad apple ruining the reputation of this facility.
