Ocean House

Look no further than Ocean House, if you are seeking a memorable experience. We hosted a family dinner here recently, to celebrate our daughter's graduation from University of Rhode Island. Our evening was simply spectacular. From the parking attendants to the hostess, each staff person we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Our server, Anna, was superb and gracious. Ryan, the dining room manager, took a family photo for us on the front porch, during the beautiful sunset. The menu offerings were plentiful, the food was fantastic, and the service effortless. We had dined at Ocean House in February and knew then, that it would be the perfect setting for this special occasion. Thank you to the entire staff, for an evening our family will remember for many years.

Attended Sunday brunch. This is our second time having brunch and unfortunately this time was not as good as the first. I've never seen so many grinds in my coffee. Waitress explained it was because it was French press. Funny, we make French press coffee everyday and don't come close to that many grinds. Seafood bar was good and well presented. Roasted corn chowder was delicious. Nothing else was outstanding. Won't be returning for a third round.

Beautiful hotel, restaurant, bar, and private beach. We only went for a light seafood lunch on the patio. Everything was perfect, particularly the oysters. We received a sharp recommendation on wine from the knowledgeable server. Prices are, as we expected, on the extremely high side. Among the most expensive places in the state. But worth it, for us, as a treat.

Yes, the hotel is expensive, ok, it is very expensive. BUT, assuming you can afford spending a thousand a night for a room or 2-5X that for a suite - this place is off the charts. We go at least once a year and have always had a great time. The food, ocean cabanas, amazing rooms, the view, pool, spa, staff, etc. etc. are all WORLD CLASS.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... Even though we had a brunch reservation we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table. Despite the wait, the service was amazing and so was the food. The veiw was wonderful as well.
