Oceanfront Dentistry

I absolutely love Dr. Hef and his hygienist staff. I’ve been to other dentist in the area that are just “selling” and have $150 consultation fees for basic treatment plans. I appreciate his knowledge and the patient care he provides.

Dr. Heffelfinger, his assistant Hope and the entire staff at Oceanfront Dentistry are amazing! There always seems to be complications when I have work done on my teeth and this time was no exception. The difference was how Dr. Heffelfinger handled it. He never showed frustration or tried to rush my procedure, as so many Dentists before him had. He is a perfectionist and a credit to his profession. Anyone looking for a Dentist in Virginia Beach needs to check out Oceanfront Dentistry.

Update June 2020: I travel a lot - so when I make my appointments 4-6 months out - sometimes they need to be changed. If you need to change an appointment here and want to see the same person, you will be waiting 4-6 months for the newest appointment. For me, having missed mine in Feb, resked for sometime in May, I was told July would be the first available. This happens a lot. I simply can't do it anymore. I've moved on to a place that can accommodate life changes and schedules without making you wait 9 months between cleanings. -- This has been my dental office for about 10 years. I struggled for the first few years in Virginia Beach trying to find a good office to visit but a co-worker recommended this place and I never looked back! I've seen a few gals over the years but my primary gal for cleanings is Kim. She's tiny and sweet and we have a great time chatting and catching up when I come in for my cleaning and routine exams. Dr. Heffelfinger is my dentist and he is super friendly and remembers details about his patients when he comes to perform the exam. I enjoy visiting this office. It feels homey, in a small beach house that has been added onto and expanded to comprise the office with surf and beach themed decor all around. Great place!

I cannot say enough good things about this practice! The front desk staff are kind and helpful. Wendi is the best hygienist ever! Dr. White was very knowledgeable and has a great "chairside" manner. I have always been very anxious about going to the dentist. My previous dentist retired, and this was my first visit to the practice. They also have taken every necessary precaution in these times of coronavirus. I would recommend them to everyone.

BEST DENTIST OFFICE EVER! From the moment you walk in you are treated like family. The girls at the front desk always remember who I am by name and I never even have to check in. That is something to be commended as I work in customer service and manage a front desk. Kim, my hygienist is always so personable and happy to see me. I love chatting with her! Dr. White is amazing and always prompt, never makes me wait forever like I have at other dentist offices. They are professional and they also never try to do extra or unnecessary procedures or try to sell you any additional services which is also much appreciated. This day and age everyone is constantly bombarded with ads for products and services so its refreshing to feel like a valued patient and not like a walking $. Thanks for everything!

Truly the best dentist I’ve been to since Dr. Ras in Neptune Beach Florida. That is a huge compliment as he was truly the best most thorough artistic dentist I’ve ever met in my entire life. Thank you!

My husband and I and our three children have visited Dr. Heff and staff since we moved to Virginia Beach 8 years ago. We would never go anywhere else. They are fun and always happy to see you, even though they work so very hard to keep our teeth and mouths healthy and well cared for. I hate going to the dentist, but I love seeing the Oceanfront Dentistry staff and know my family will always get the best in service and human kindness from them. Thanks guys. PS. My girls will always think of Dr. Heff as the best friend and companion of the tooth fairy as they visit local schools each year.

My experience with the Best Dentist in Virginia was extraordinary. I didn't have to wait, procedure went flawlessly, staff were very friendly and I was very happy to leave with a good feeling that everything was taken care of in a professional sense. I would highly recommend my friends and neighbors to check them out because I look forward to getting more work done at this wonderful dental office.

Going to Dr. Heffelfinger was and is the BEST dental experience I've ever had. The staff is super polite and helpful. They do everything they can to make sure that you the patient are comfortable and at ease. Did I mention my first procedure was a root canal? Again, the BEST dental experience ever! Dr. Heff and his staff are amazing!!!
