For twenty two years I've driven past this place promising to set foot on it someday, to take pictures and honor the legacy which it represents. In my time living in Pennsylvania I have probably witnessed two Native American Nations Gatherings (Pow Wow)on this ground, evoking images and sentiments of a once proud and autonomous people. I'm happy that history conscientious people and conservationist have seen fit in collaboration with Native People groups to preserve this place-space monument for all peoples. I'm a lover of monuments and of those that are not only symbolic but have time continuum relation with historical events - the very spot/place. That someone has meticulously preserved that knowledge in the face of secularism - its me gratification and shallow values - and continues to do so in this generation might be a reason for hope. These and this monument reminds me of the monument in time that our creator established almost seven thousand years ago. He called it Sabbath - rest/communion time. He marked it throughout history by specific events so that it would never be lost sight of. Every seventh day of the week ( what we know as Saturday) he asked all creation to rest in honor of Him, in love for Him, in celebration of creation to our greatest social welfare and individual benefit. Nice place for a walk until you get attacked by an unleashed Dog. ..several times not just once I've had dogs jump on me..once from behind I was knocked down another time sitting on a bench and once in the morning by 3 dogs who scared the Hell out of me before the Sun came up. ..signs all over that Dogs must be on a leash. ..these ignorant people don't care...it's a park that these Knuckleheads turned into a dog park. ..

Really nice area to walk around for. Beware all the dog poop people leave around here...it's pretty absurd how much do poop there is.

Great place to walk the pooch. Leash free area better than most dog parks. Been there many times, have never run into aggressive dogs or owners.
