Cash only is a super annoying and cheapskate move. Service wasn't good or bad. Price was okay. Pizza was just bad and the garlic knots were so oily, it would squirt out when you bite into it. Nasty stuff.
Used the ATM machine to withdraw $100. The machine displayed an error and discharged $20 in bills but charged me $30. I immediately reported it to the attendant. They refused to make the situation right or connect me with the ATM vendor. The ATM machine has no vendor contact info. If the machine is in your shop, you are responsible for the customer experience. Doesn’t help that the pizza sucks. Bland, oily, limp and uninspired. Go anywhere but here. Owner has a history of unprofessional and inappropriate responses to reviews. Take a look.
Probably the only real spot in all of Hoboken. No pretentious NY transplants. Just good food and down to earth staff who you can smile and joke with.
Ordered a regular pizza and a margarita pizza for delivery. The dough for both pizzas was fine, a little too thick but nice flavor and chewy. The tomato sauce for the regular was good, the one for the margarita was different, with more herbs and more acidic, so not as pleasant. Unfortunately, the cheeses for both regular and margarita pizzas were really not good. Both were low quality and processed, the regular had cheese like pizzas I had in elementary school and the margarita had mozzarella cheese like a supermarket deli. Oddly enough, the boxes were labeled as being from "Pizzeria Hoboken" even though I have the email receipt showing it as being from Old Lorenzo's, the restaurant may use multiple names or share some kitchen supplies with the other place.
This place gets the job done. It's not the best pizza in town, not that they claim to be, but when you need someplace close and quick this place can be great. The staff is friendly and they'll make your pizza how you like. They know me well enough now to know I like my pizza well done. They even ask me if I'm okay with how it's cooked when I get there. They also have good chicken fingers, buffalo chicken sandwich and the burger isn't too bad too. Most importantly the price here is perfect for what you get. Just know you need cash but if you don't have cash just order online, they get the order quite quick.
Too expensive they charge $2.67 for a soda and $10.66 for a order of chicken wings with french fried and the chicken wings were too small thats not worth it.I rather eat from the chinese
Pizza is solid. The delivery however is utter garbage - 20-40 minutes late is normal, and cold, not lukewarm but totally cold pizza. Today I placed my third and final order as they cannot seem to get their act together. To put it in perspective, I could have walked there and back the 1.3 miles in the time since 'it just left' hint - if you call them the pie has always 'just left' in some manner of temporal mystery for what is a 10 minute drive into the Heights. If you want their food, go there, DO NOT order.
I order here on occasion. The chicken parm dish is excellent. The other times I've ordered I was satisfied but not blown away. The prices are reasonable but not super cheap. I'll update the review based on my future experiences.
Excellent double bacon cheeseburger and fries for 10 bucks. Huge burger. Got it with everything. However, in the future I will request, no ketchup. It was super delicious but my relationship with ketchup is consensual and that stuff was every where, lol.
Yea this is hands down the worst pizza in NYC/Jersey. Correction, worst pizza I have ever had in the entire world. I feel sorry for anyone that ordered the pizza between the time I ordered it and yelp reviewers reading this peak into the reality of what this disappointment of a pizza place is. Just take a good look at that pizza. The pictures say it all. I mean look at the ubereats "expectations" picture. Now look at the reality picture. It's obviously not the uber drivers fault. I see like 8 pepperoni pieces. I see like 30 pepperoni pieces on the ubereats ad. Where's the pepperoni? Cheese didn't stay on pizza and ingredients are terrible. It tasted like a pizza they left out all day ready to serve. Correction, it tasted like pizza left out for 5 days. They just threw on some extra cheese and pepperoni then tilted the pizza sideways. I don't know why they tilted the pizza sideways. Maybe they thought there wasn't a pizza in the pizza box? Maybe they enjoy become a business that will fail one day. They also used the worst pepperoni in all of the NYC/Jersey area. They then used the closest to expiration date cheese to cover the 15 day old pizza. I thoroughly enjoyed the hard crust. Not "oh so crunchy so good crunch". It was like, "what a waste of money and time crunch but it's too late to order more food since it took them 40 mins to prepare." How can that pizza take 40 mins when it tasted like it was on the shelf for five days?
