Old Town Wine and Spirits

This place is amazing they really have every type of whiskey and a large selection of speciality alcohol, stuff you won't find everywhere. Also the guys working there were extra friendly and answered any questions I had, I really appreciated that.

Looked up best liquor stores in Louisville and this was at the top of the list I selected. Not sure how. The selection was ho-hum and the employees seemed disinterested that there were customers there. I actually thought they were closed because there was no one in the parking lot.

I was checking out and the clerk stared me down and ultimately called me out for not responding to his greeting when I came in. I apologized and said I hadn't heard his greeting, which I hadn't, and he just continued with his stare. It was a very strange and unprofessional experience.

I have come here every couple of months over the last two years and feel welcomed every time. Amazing variety and quality of wine, beer, liquor, cheese, meats, snacks, cherries, and more. They know their products well and helped me find a wine from Slovenia, superb. Sometimes they have great beer on close-out, don't hesitate to get some, but leave some for me please.

It is okay. They had a pretty good selection of liquors. Some of the suggestions by the staff could have been better. They recommended a spice rum that I thought was a "funky" rum with esters, but I think they misinterpreted that, and I should've looked, but that tainted my view of the place. Also, I bought this non alcoholic bottle which the guy behind the counter warned me about. I asked if it was gross, they mehhh. Well it was gross. Just be honest, yknow.
