I called them to see if my pleather shoes could be fixed because they were peeling. The woman said no. She said, They will just keep peeling and nothing can be done. Well if this shop just doesn’t fix shoes with this issue they should say so. I just got my shoes back from a cobbler in New York and they fixed them and they are perfect. If they say they can’t help you, don’t lose hope call around. They are not as knowledgeable as I thought as a cobbler. And their name is old towne. Addition to my review 12/9/22 - took this business months to reply back from my original post months ago. That’s ok. New York cobbler has been around over a century AND they repaired my shoes. Plus this is not the first time I have come to you for shoes you COULDNT fix cause of your limitations as a business. You being honest has nothing to do with ability of service. Honest is the cherry not the ice cream.
Wonderful place. They actually put on heel protectors while you wait!! I really appreciate their great customer service. Good quality values and service!! Thank you!!
AMAZING WORK! They re-soled a pair of 5 year old boots and polished them as well. I can’t say enough about how great of a job they’ve done. My boots look like a pair of expensive rustic brown boots now. The price and exact time they said it would be done was worth it. Thanks again.
I had an excellent first experience with this shop and will definitely be using their services in the future. I had a 35+ year old vintage leather purse strap fixed as well as re-dyed and the purse looks brand new. They did an absolute fabulous job on it. Quick turn around. Personable employees. I would highly recommend!
I needed an extra hole added to a pair of heels for a wedding. They were very responsive over the phone and were able to do the work right when I came in, only took about 2 minutes.
I had orthopedic work done on two shoes. I understood the price would be $120.00 for both. When I picked them up, I learned that the price was actually $240.00. This is double what I have paid in the past. The shoes were shipped out to a third party for the work, and Old Towne probably more than doubled what that person charged for the work. This place is a shameless rip-off.
Went in to see about fixing a boot that had an issue with a fabric eyelet. Wasn't really sure that anything could be done, but the owner took a look and said that would be easy to fix and was a fairly common problem. He put on a riveted d-ring eyelet that works great. Thank for the quick and cost-effective fix.
Such an adorable small business, but with a good variety of quality shoes, and accessories such as purses, socks, and towels. Lady at register was very kind and friendly, even though we were clearly out of our element. She helped us find a perfect set of boots, on sale! It is also very cool that they repair shoes as well.
I have taken my favorite boots to be " reheeled" at least twice and they do a fantastic job!! Most recently I had a very special dog collar that needed to be made larger. Trevor did an EXCELLENT job, he is a true craftsman when it comes to leather. I would highly recommend Olde Towne Cobbler to anyone. Besides excellent work, their customer service is outstanding!!
Great little show shop. Had two pairs of shoes with soles that were very worn out. Staff assessed and agreed that the leather looked good and the sole could be repaired. Awesome service that takes some time but it well worth the wait. Highly recommend!
