From the moment we stepped through the door we were received with warm welcome and the service was superb all of our visit. The restaurant is pretty and clean. The food is delicious and the meat is Halal!. There was so many amazing dishes to choose from but one can't eat all the menu in one setting! Lol I highly recommend this place and definitely will be coming back many times in the future.
Beautiful interior with its orange leather chairs. Courteous service and very roomy. We've only had small plates so far - very happy with flavors of every item. Nice selection of beverages including Turkish wine and beer plus specialty drinks. Metered parking on street; some free parking farther down by Ft Reno hill. 2 visits and planning to return!
We decided to get some carry out for lunch and it tured out to be a great decision. The food was excellent and the service was fast.
Delicious and varied appetizers. Versatile atmosphere - good for elders, teens, book club meetings, or a quiet and private chat. Wonderful wine. Pictured here is the moussaka. The service is also friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
One of the best restaurants which you can eat delicious and clean turkish foods and other meals from all over the world in DC. The owner and other staff are extremely nice and friendly. Strongly recommended:
Delicious food! Highly recommend combination plate and any lamb dish
The food is delicious. I went with the cheese roll appetizer, braised lamb shank prepared with eggplant, tomatoes, and onions for main plate, and rice pudding with Turkish coffee for dessert. Portions are large. I had to take most of my entree home, in light of which the price of the meal is very reasonable my appetizer was about $8, my entree about $23, my pudding and coffee together about $10, give or take a couple bucks. Service is friendly and attentive - my wife has a pretty extreme dairy allergy and they took her needs very seriously very reassuring when you consider how many Turkish dishes incorporate dairy. I was too hungry to take pictures of the earlier courses, but I held myself back long enough to snap a shot of dessert. And I highly recommend the rice pudding, a dish about which I am very particular. At Olive the rice pudding was delightful, firm, not runny, not dry, and thankfully without cinnamon. Go and enjoy!
Dined here last night with a party of six. The restaurant atmosphere is very inviting and cozy as well as quite spacious. Staff were very friendly and courteous and all six of our meals were flawless. My only complaint is the entree plates did not come to our table at the same time. Two of us waited a minute or two for two more plates to come out and the last plate was another minute or so. Still giving five stars though for a great dining experience and I will definitely be going back.
This is a relatively new restaurant, it's near my office but I had never been here. It was a very pleasant surprise, as the food was excellent. It was not very crowded, which is too bad. It is Turkish cuisine, and the grilled chicken salad I had was really good. The service was good as well. Come on in!
I was lucky enough to go to the soft opening of this restaurant on Saturday and was VERY impressed with the decor, quality of the food and hospitality of the owner and his son! I just moved to Tennleytown a month ago and have been craving high quality Turkish food, this place did not disappoint. The homemade bread was served hot out of the brick oven with fresh butter and everything I ate was delicious. You can order hookah, take home awesome Turkish deserts, get an authentic Turkish coffee made in front of you or get a great beer from the fully stocked bar. Highly recommend this place and will be back soon.
