A grand hotel in the midst of the mountains near the quaint town of Bedford, Pa. There are spa services available which can be on the pricey side (at least for my budget) but there is plenty to do here without the spa. Croquet anyone? Horseback riding? Historical Tours? We enjoyed a 2 mile hike into the woods to one of the mineral springs and spotted an eagle soaring above the lake. There are two gorgeous pools including a majestic spring-fed indoor heated one. The grounds and rooms are beautifully maintained. Vintage historical photos and captions adorn the walls as you meander through the resort. The various wallpapers and tiling on the floors were awesome and you can tell that a great amount of attention to detail was paid to the hotel when it was renovated.

I always enjoy my visits to the Bedford Springs Omni. My most recent stay included my sweet dog Lily who enjoyed the grounds and various trails very much. The spa is just lovely and I highly recommend doing the Bath Ritual with any service. The 1796 Room provided a delicious dinner in a intimate atmosphere. I will continue to come back!

The Spa here is superb. The staff know what they are doing and give some of the best treatments I have had. The Hot Stone Massage, in particular, is extraordinary. The relaxation room is extremely comfortable and one could easily spend hours there. The staff keeps the teas and water and snacks replenished. The locker room area is rather cramped, however. I would return on the basis of the spa alone. The resort itself is elegant and clearly reflects its origins as a place where the wealthy came to "take the waters." The food leaves something to be desired. It is rather ordinary for the cost. The breakfast buffet is a standard breakfast buffet with nothing to set it apart. My steak was tasteless and the sauce provided was way too salty. The wait staff, however, is pleasant and knowledgeable. In fact, the staff in general, from the maids to the valet parkers to the front desk to the electrician are all very pleasant and well-trained.

Loved the mix of history and opulence that this eloquent facility delivers. There's really nothing like it close to the Philadelphia area. There are so many activities and amenities that appeal to the senior guest, I only hope that younger generations are drawn as well to this type of experience. As with all things, time will tell. Great facilities like this are a indicator of our human progress as a society, it has all the best things, artifacts and luxury that our culture can muster. Our children and children's children should take part as well. We realize we are so lucky to have the means to do so.

Service in all areas (dining, front desk, spa, others) was outstanding. Seems to have improved since our last visit. New golf clubhouse was done right and is beautiful.
While I expect resort pricing, Bedford Springs occasionally falls short of delivering resort quality .... limited menus with sub-par quality comes to mind. Guest rooms could use a refresh, as could the hallway carpet.
