Pretty good ramen! Favorite was the Paitan. Miso was also good but if you can’t stand the strong miso flavor, don’t take it. Broth is on the saltier side. Noodles were chewy but we think that all ramen stalls from the foodcourt buy their noodles from the same supplier.
Loved the ramen here. Chewy noodles. Black garlic ramen was very good. Gyoza and agedashi tofu was delicious as well. If you’re in Waikiki, this place is in Waikiki Yokocho in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. Good stuff. Then go play free video games after.
The only ramen store at Shirokiya Japan Village with a line of 10 people, I knew I had to try it. Miso Ramen for only $10.95, sure it was a no brainer. But man the broth was just tooooo salty. I usually finish the broth when I have ramen but I couldn’t with this one..otherwise the noodles and the meat were just perfect They also have a card for you to collect stamps with every transaction you make there so you will get a free meal after 10 stamps. Cute, who doesn’t like free meals?
Amazing ramen! Still the same as when they were at shirokiya! Def top 3 ramen in Hawaii!!
Ordered the Tan Tan ramen combo with chicken katsu. Love the noodles texture. Broth is good, not as thick tho, but still taste delicious. My friend ordered the shoyu remen. He rarely finishes his food, but he cleaned that bowl! Totally recommend! If you going to order the combo, get wine or sake instead of the beer!
Pretty good ramen, really liked the paitan flavor.
Delicious curry and ramen. The ramen was perfect from noodles to broth. We also had the shrimp curry, a japanese-style curry, which was equally good. The deep friend shrimp were perfect. Eating at Shirokiya Japan Village Walk made this extra fun. I would definitely recommend going. There was live music when we went.
The ramen in this place participated and won 1st place in Ramen Wars 2017 against other ramen restaurants within the Shiroyaka Japan Village Walk. After tasting a bowl, I can see why! The broth was delicious and available in several flavors. They also can be paired with other dishes as a combo. The price is very reasonable and much cheaper than many ramen restaurants around the island. I highly recommend it!
The BLACK GARLIC PAITAN RAMEN was very good, but you should definitely be a fan of garlic flavor. The broth is very rich and strong flavored, which is not typically Japanese, but perfect for my American palate.
Taiwan Maze Soba is TERRIFIC! Very unique and delicious. Always coming back for that. Other dishes are also delicious. Service is very fast and friendly. Lots of parking at Ala Moana and lots of tables in the Shiokiya food court. The place is clean and there is a restroom in the food court. Unobstructed entrance and walkways throughout for full access. The $1 beers with coupon are a great bonus.
