This restaurant was great! The atmosphere is relaxing, food & drinks were fantastic & flavorful, and servers are very attentive and prompt. The hookah was so good, good flavors to choose from. Went on a Monday, so it wasn’t too busy. On the weekends they have entertainment, definitely need to try it then! Pricey, but worth it!
This Lebanese restaurant is a super fun atmosphere! We were celebrating a birthday as were many other guests. We all enjoyed our meals especially me. I had the lamb chops and they were the best I had so far. Then the entertainment started. A belly dancer danced for all the guests. So we watched the dancer as we had hooka. It was a great Friday night at a great restaurant. I recommend!
Food: Chicken Birds Nest Plate chicken breast, Mushroom, onion, and red pepper sautéed in olive oil, garlic red wine, and lemon juice served with saffron rice and house salad. Ambiance: Dim lit, small and cozy vibe. You can dress up at this venue. Parking: Street parking is available. The venue also has a valet. Pricing: A little pricey. Food flavors: I LOVED the flavors in my dish. The veggies, chicken, and rice were cooked very well. The chicken was juicy and the rice was cooked to perfection. They drizzled a sauce on top of the whole dish that added a burst a flavor that I really enjoyed. This dish was on the savory side, which I really enjoyed. The salad was pretty standard. Portion size: Medium to large. For more reviews, please follow my food IG page. @Fave_foodie
First time eating at this restaurant, super fun atmosphere! We were celebrating a birthday as were many other guests. The drinks was good, I got the beef kabobs w/ Mediterranean Rice and salad.
Opa has done what other restaurants and bars in the area have failed to do... They didn't fix what isn't broken! It's a shame that Nara Lounge modernized its look, completely taking away from what made that place special—which leads me to this... The ambiance is my favorite aspect of Opa, dim and candlelit, yet lively with open Alfresco-style windows. Authentic Lebanese elements, such as the food, decor, and hookah make it stand out from the surrounding restaurants, and the service has always been good!
Great atmosphere in the heart of Federal Hill, Providence, RI. The Mediterranean cuisine was delicious try the baby lamb ribs , the drinks were enjoyable, not to mention the hookah was popping! Loved the music, and impromptu belly dancing! A great place to spend a weekend night.
The staff, energy, and food at Opa is unmatched. Never have I had a bad experience at this establishment. I’ve been coming to Opa for many years now. I always recommend friends and family to come here. Continue to BE GREAT!
probably the most racist restaurant in providence. intentionally denied us a form of payment advertised online and then proceeded to chase us out the restaurant only to somehow marvelously have the capacity to accept that form of payment—no, the form of payment I’m referring to is not cashier’s check or WIC; very, commonly, we requested to use Apple Pay, as it is displayed in the details of the restaurant as shown online. when we walked back in to pay there was a white woman using this very form of payment, even though we had repeatedly asked for the same courtesy. if you’re black, please go to Ours across the street. they are very accommodating and have far more interesting options with a more youthful crowd.
From the DELICIOUS espresso martinis I had three!! and Sangria to the melt In your mouth skewered chicken, the French fries to the baklava for dessert, this place is ABSOLUTELY worth it! As we were eating dinner tonight, we were trying to think of the next time we would be able to dine here again. Everything that we ate we delicious and fresh! You can taste the attention to detail and care that goes into their food! From an executive chefs perspective, this place exceeded every expectation and then some! We are normally regulars of another restaurant a block down the street, but not any longer. We’ve found a new home! If you haven’t tried Opa, you are missing out, I promise you! Prices are not crazy, the service, staff and facilities are top notch!
This was my first and last time at this restaurant! When I came in I loved how it looked in the inside so cool and different. Now I’ve been doing hookah for years and when I received mine from this establishment it was horrible !! The sheesha was burnt and there was barley any smoke coming out when I would hit the hookah. I told one of the waiters he came and took it and brought a new one back , now the new one looked even more cleaner than the last one. When I smoked the hookah it tasted the exact same as before it was gross and burnt , so they probably just changed the hookah but not the bowl. Long story short I told them I wasn’t paying for it , the owner comes over with the check and throws it at me and my friends and says we don’t have to pay for it . Then proceeds to say that if the hookah was bad I should’ve said something before not after two hours , btw we weren’t there even close to two hours . Two stars only for the servers but the owner needs to accept criticism and check his attitude with paying customers. Goodluck to the waiters .
