Went for date night and loved the food. The fish tacos were delicious and so were the plantains. The chicken tacos weren’t the best I have had but good enough. We also got happy hour drinks - Sangria and margaritas. Both were pretty good. The COVID precautions were great and we felt good dining in because they had glass separators between tables. Parking is challenge in the area but the food is definitely worth the obstacle.
You've definitely got to try the tacos and nachos with the amazing drinks they offer. The place is buzzing with music, good mexican food and great vibe. The music is a bit loud but they've got a really cool decor! Also, really liked how they serve the sauces in tiny bottles. I'd recommend having a reservation before visiting as it could be difficult getting a table on the spot.
A great restaurant to enjoy. First thing, the staff, very friendly, professional, and excellent service. On point and always making rounds to our table to provide any needs necessary. The restaurant is very lively and quite popular. My time was mid afternoon but did not have to wait for seating. The atmosphere is good for the type of food that mainly is served. The menu has quite a bit to choose from but options is not bad. The dishes were delicious, tasteful, presented neatly. Happy hour is something that is provided which adds to the positive sides on this place. The pricing is great for what you get.
Great food, tons of spices, they have the best hot sauce hands down. definitely a great place to go in downtown jersey city. The only downsize is it gets jammed pack so quick after 5pm. Great hangout spot in jersey city brought my family members here and we had a blast.
Amazing ambience, their tequila drinks are top notch, tried all of them and all were delicious. Authentic restaurant style bar with authentic Mexican food that will blow you away.. The nachos I had were 1A.
The guacamole was very fresh and tortilla chips were very light and crispy. The Manchin tacos, with pork belly and bone marrows were delicious. Each taco was served on a big bone marrow. The “it takes Juan to know Juan” were delicious as well, a bit spicy, and full of flavor, a bit oily, the sauce that comes with it is also spicy so make sure to have some cold water while eating it. Nicely decorated walls and unique table tops. Music can be a little loud inside. Have outdoor dinning area with shades.
The restaurant decor and ambiance is probably the best part of this place. We got a variety of tacos and pork nachos to share, which were decent in flavor. Some of the carnitas and fish tacos were a bit drier than others. Also got the $7 happy hour brunch frozen margarita of the day which was also okay. Tables filled up fast so RSVP is highly reccomended.
Expensive but excellent Mexican food. I ordered the ahi tacos which was fresh but the portion was small. I was still hungry so I had some of my fiance's burrito, which was huge compared to my tiny tacos. Drinks were creative and delicious!Dine in: Yes
Been here numerous times! Love the place. The service is great, the drinks are amazing, and the food is delicious. Had the skirt steak with garlic seasoned fries and the presentation was outstanding. My only complaint is the place can get a bit loud. But it’s not the restaurants fault. With drinks this good who can blame them.Recommended dishesShrimp Tacos, Guacamole and Chips
The only way to make reservations with this restaurant was thru Resy and they asked for your credit card. So we did a walk-in on a Thursday night and luckily, there was no wait. The pulpo octopus appetizer was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Didn't like the Carolina Barbacoa roast pork tacos. Tasted spicy yet bland. But the Salpicon seared halibut tacos were to die for with fresh fish, crunchy veggie, and tasty guacamole. When we got the check, I was surprised to see our drinks white wine and IPA were charged at full price even though it was supposed to be "Thirsty Thursday" and the wait staff told us earlier that every drink was half price. We were then told only a short list of drinks were included. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our drinks, food, and service.
