Hands down the best Ramen in Jersey City! My friends suggested beef and pork belly options. Love it! I totally recommend this place especially late at night after work. Relaxing and fun ambiance! Great service as well. Tip generously to keep the service superb! The bill came just under $50 for us. I'll definitely return with my friends!
Ordered via DoorDash and saw it was a black owned business so i had to support. Ramen was tasty and the noodles, eggs, chicken etc came separate from the broth, which i appreciated because the noodles can get soggy. Overall it was flavorful and very good. Only reason i didn’t leave 5 stars is because it took almost 2 hrs to get my order via delivery
I live the interior and the vibe!! It’s very fascinating! Though, they blast their music loud and you cannot hear anything, even the person next to you! The staff were friendly and attentive!! The ramen it self didn’t taste fresh!! The broth was missing it’s flavor! The meat chicken was bland! Absolutely no flavor!!! I am disappointed that i had to pay for it! I had heard so much hype about this place but it fell short! Not sure if i will go back again!! And like someone said, had i made my own ramen at home, it would taste much better & much richer!!
Both food and service was average. The busboy kept coming to the table to check if we were done with our meal. I felt like they were trying to rush us. The manager seemed very unprofessional too. I don’t think anyone should go to this place. There are better ramen places out there! :
I got the pork rice bowl because there ramen are usually disappointing. The rice bowl was good. My friend got the shrimp bowl she got only three shrimp, do with that what you want. We also got the strawberry Sendai and Kobe refresher. I love the Kobe refresher. The strawberry Sendai was more on the sour side. The got an extra star because the waiter was so sweet and kind
This is my second time at Ani Ramen. The first time was on a date and I remember the evening being magical. This time around I waited a few minutes before being served. However the bartender was very nice and attentive once he returned to the bar. He recommended the chefs special. It was delightful. Found a small hair in my food after getting to the good part of the ramen near the bottom where all the flavors start to marinate. The staff was very accommodating. In all of my years in food service I was more then impressed with how quickly they got me a new bowl and another spice girl my favorite group coming into my gayness lol. I loved it and will continue to recommend and most likely will be back. The staff was very friendly and I had a rough day prior to going in. They definitely made me feel welcomed which is much appreciated.
Great service, ambiance, and drinks !!! Loved the Tokyo sour!! This was my first time trying bao buns, and I loved them. I had mine with shrimp, delicious. I tried ramen in the past and wanted to give it another try, it’s not bad , just not for me. I also added shrimp to my ramen but I was disappointed to learn that they’d be fried. I’d come back here, they have other cool items on the menu!
We were excited to try to this ramen place on the first day of restaurant week. I was really disappointed that the ramen was so average, the broth tasted like just regular broth with lots of soy sauce. A good ramen is all about the broth. I miss the nyc ramen “Maurufoko” where the bone broth was cooked and prepared for 10-16 hours. Not a good deal for restaurant week neither. The shrimp bao bun was pretty good but it was very small and $9 each. The pork bao was just okay. Egg is not included in the ramen, additional $2 each.
Attentive service but lackluster Ramen Upon seeing the menu, I saw that it was focused, mainly ramen and a few side dishes so the star of the show must be good. The waitress was attentive and considerate, did an excellent job. Unfortunately the food fell short. The karage was poorly breaded and salty. Dipping it into the sauce made it even more salty. Salt on top of salt, there was no balance. I ordered the chefs special. A bowl of ramen compromises of 3 components, the broth, noodle, and topping with the broth being the most important. My first sip of the broth brought about confusion, the flavors were nothing like a ramen. There was broth, but it didn’t contain any complexity or richness that makes ramen, ramen. The toppings were scant with some small pieces of chasu so that it can call itself ramen. The noodles were reasonable. Overall nothing came together and it was a big disappointment. I can buy some packaged ramen and make it at home and it’ll be better. To make matters worse? They pass on a 3% convenience fee which is basically their credit card fee to the customer. First restaurant in jersey city where I’ve seen this and a poor practice. It pains me to write this review and it doesn’t make me feel good. Quite sad actually. I think I’ll go cry somewhere.
Great place! Nice vibe! The cocktails and drinks really do set it apart from other ramen spots in NYC. Strictly Ramen-wise, maybe not up there with top NYC places, but best spot in jersey city for sure. The ajitama 6 min egg deserves a special shout out for sure! The bao buns and karaage were also on point!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
