Story

Founded in 1964, OROX Leather is dedicated to the craftsmanship of quality leather goods. OROX products are designed to harmonically blend the durability of leather and the sustainability of recycled materials, with the purpose of being passed on to coming generations as a heritage of American craft. It is our hope to continue to manifest our artistic expression in the same manner that our great grandparents did seventy years ago, maintaining tradition while developing alongside modern styles.

Mission

We aim to create high quality durable goods that, while stylish, don’t go in and out of style. We hope that our products will be used and loved for years, and eventually passed on to the next generation. Scratches and scuffs, a physical record of experiences and adventures, will add character and beauty. Leather is an ever-changing material that continues to evolve as it ages and acquires a patina of use. Making products that last is part of our Mexican heritage. In Oaxaca during the 60's and 70's, fast fashion didn’t exist, and a pair of shoes or a belt needed to last a long, long time. With care our products will last for generations and become treasured heirlooms.

They did not lie when they said it was the best smelling shop in Portland! I got two bags from them and I love them so much. The leather is so soft and the strap is super thick. You can tell you are getting a much more superior product than more expensive designer brands.
I received my first Orox as a gift from my husband for our first Christmas together seven years ago. I'm happy to report the bag and the husband are still going strong! Just added another Orox to my collection today and was able to meet the family behind the brand. What a great product and a great group of people!

I was gifted a purse from Orox from my sisters 2+ years ago now. First of all, reflecting that so much time has passed, I can't believe how incredible my bag still looks! Orox really is the best smelling shop in Portland! I bought leather belts as gifts for my husband and brother, the Medicus Dopp Bag and the Slim Cardholder. All the products are beautiful and functional. The natural leather finish inside the Medicus bag is luxurious and so much more durable than a fabric lining. The belts will last a lifetime and the cardholder is very convenient as a grab & go alternative to a bulky wallet. The service is exceptional and it was fast and easy to exchange the belts for a different size. You really can feel the passion that this family has for their business and quality products. I will be back for more of their collection.
I've purchased several items from Orox and all of them are beautiful and expertly made. After purchasing one of their belts in brown, I had to go back and purchase one in black because I won't wear anything else now. I was excited when they came out with their home collection because I was looking for a leather desk mat that was both large enough to cover my desk and durable enough for everyday wear and tear. I wasn't disappointed. Their customer service is unparalleled and personal. I've enjoyed every interaction with them. I can't recommend them enough.
