The staff needs training in customer service bad. Horrible horrible ! I scheduled an appt but forgot to cancel due to the fact that I didn’t want my kids to be seen by patsy. The lady who called me don’t know her name but she’s been there for years. Argued with me stating that they have to see her since it’s a check up….how are you going to tell me who my child can see or not see….this office needs a new staff or better management at this point. Just cause majority are Medicaid patients it’s an issue. Let’s not forget the fact Medicaid pays this office and that’s how yall still have this job. I’ll be calling my insurance to file a complain as well against this office. Yall need to do better.
My 2 kiddos needed vaccines so I came to Ortega because they had been patients here when they were younger. My husband called the morning of for cost and also to confirm that our 2 kids needed vaccines. The receptionist confirmed that our 11 and 9 year old both needed vaccines. When we arrived me and my kids were escorted to the vaccine area. The receptionist for the vaccines was extremely unprofessional. Her tone was very unwelcoming and rude. When I arrived, I told her Good morning and no response from her. I told her that my 2 children required vaccines. She asked if there were patients there. I replied yes. She then asked if they were patients within the last 3 years. I told her no, we no longer lived on the area and that they don't really get sick to bring them to the doctor. She then stated very rudely that they were now considered new patients and that I had to pay additional costs to reopen there file. I was shocked, I've never been to a doctors office that charges you to be a "new patient" even though you're not. Since when do they just throw files away? Before I can even respond she said that's new policy with her snappy tone. I then asked to see the new policy. She said she didn't have it. She continued to talk and say that my 9 year old didn't need a vaccine. I stated to her that, yes he can get a vaccine at 9 according to CDC guidelines, and that it was also confirmed by the receptionist in the front. She then started talking more rudely stating that that's not how they do it at their clinic. I could see that this conversation wasn't going anywhere and I asked to speak to the Manager. She pointed her finger towards me and used the "get out of here hand gesture " for me to basically go get her myself, and slammed her window. I then spoke up and told her to call her, herself. I dont know what was said but the manager arrived 5 mins later along with the security guard. That conversation didn't go anywhere. I left the clinic almost in tears from the frustration and the way that staff treated me. The security guard was very kind and let me vent to her. Needless to say I will not be coming back. I found a clinic in Humble that ended up giving my kiddos the vaccines for free.
I went in because my 4 years old was not feeling well. Turns out she has what could be a UTI. As several of you know, it is quite painful and uncomfortable. Well the doctor was great with my kiddo, but the unprofessional staff wasn’t. They initially sent my kid’s prescription to the pharmacy next door, but turned out they don’t take her insurance. I then went back to the clinic to ask the staff to send her prescription to walgreens instead, so they mentioned they would. I literally saw the lady just put my daughter’s prescription to the side as she mentioned she would do it as soon as the doctor was available. Well they never sent her prescription to Walgreens. Now I still have a very uncomfortable kid that could’ve started her antibiotics today, but because she decided to be careless and irresponsible I have to wait until tomorrow to call them and request they do it immediately. Being in the medical field should imply quick action and major responsibility to avoid these type of unfortunate scenarios and unwell little patients. PLEASE BE MORE RESPONSIBLE!
Horrible place the doctors take for ever to call you when they give you and appointment you come and check in and you be here for along time also the front desk people they so rude when you want to ask something they a bad attitude if the phone ring they will live you taking and don't answer you right .The staff is so rude to people especially the front women they need to move a little fast the doctors nedd to stop taking the sweet time talking and having the patience waiting and hr to be sending i will never come back.
The only reason Im giving 1 stars is not because of the DOCTORS THEY ARE WONDERFUL but, because the staff the keep are so rude! They cut you off while your trying to explain what's the reason for a appointment. Then they get a attitude when you tell them there is no reason for all that. So now that they are aware that I will not tolerate being disrespected they put me on hold...so I I waited till someone got back on the line I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and she once again put me on hold ...and no one answered so I left a message...I then called back to see if someone else would answered and my call got hund up on 2 times before someone answered...she to had a little attitude but I wasn't trying to be this time or the time before so she calmed down while I was explaining to her what I needed help with ! This has been going on for years at this office but it's the one my daughter is used to going ...but after this I will be changing offices.
The good thing about this place is they have walk-ins available for you early in the morning. The bad thing about this place is that because of walk-ins, the appointments mean absolutely nothing, and you wait over an hour for a vaccine, even with an appointment.
Do not bring your child here staff is super rude and nasty ,front desk worse !!!!they never pick up the phone. reference will take for ever to be done by the doctor please look somewhere else they will not help you even if you call go in person they are very rude I don't know how the pcp is not aware of them
zero stars if it was possible , hiring management must was feeling bad cooperate need to let all these girl go.
They never answer the phone! And when they do they don’t speak up and barely want to assist you.
I like it here simply cause there nice and not rude
