Ossip Optometry + Ophthalmology

First time glasses wearer. I felt very at home here due to the entire staff being extremely friendly and warm. I was asked a budget I had but was able to be shown to all glasses as to keep my options open. When i found the pair i liked, they came in a little over my price range but Mark quickly helped me find a similar pair (still same great quality) that were within my budget. I will always send people here and recommend them to anyone. Like i said, i was new to the whole "eye appointment" scheme but i was very confident walking out of that appointment.

Wow! Is all I have to say about Ossip 96th street. I have never been to a more professional and friendly office in any field of medicine. I walked through the door and they were ready for me, the lady who took me back explained every machine and test, as this was my first time at any optometrist. Then we have Dr. Cater. I could not speak more highly of Dr. Cater. She spent as much time as I needed to explain my diagnosis, and the different options available. She explained the pros and cons of retinal scanning Vs. Dilation of the eyes. She seemed to treat me more as a member of the Ossip family and not just a other patient. She genuinely cared about me as a patient, and didn't just get me in and get me out. She listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. Not to mention the patience she had when I repeatedly asked to see the last set of letters again. I couldn't recommend her more highly. Then when I went back to the front I met Vicki. She was extremely friendly. She helped me pick frames that would not only fit my head well, but more importantly meet my needs. She explained the pros and cons of the Dr. Recommended lens treatments. All this is extremely important as I am a first time glasses wearer. They are the only Optometrist I've ever been to, or will go to. Thank you Ossip 96th!

After weeks of researching multiple locations, I ultimately decided to visit Ossip on 96th street due to the high praise of Dr. Fiddler. The professionalism and care provided surpassed the reviews I read online. Dr. Fiddler and the rest of the staff at this location are truly in a class of their own.

Dr Fiddler is amazing! I have seen him for over 10 years, but today he saw my mom for first time. She has special needs and he and the staff were so accommodating. I can't say enough good things about him and the thorough care that he provided.

My appointment was scheduled at 4:10. The receptionist told me to look around while I waited for the doctor for my exam. I looked at the glasses and had a seat and waited until 4:45 with no word or apology for running behind from anyone. Patients who arrived after me for exams were taken back as I waited. This is the second time I have waited over a half hour at this location and I am not happy. Not to mention, last year I waited three weeks after my glasses were ordered, with no word from them. I called and they said they had had my glasses for a week. You would think they would call you when your order comes in. TERRIBLE customer service. I will not be returning.
