I have been a huge fan of this place for four years now. I live nearby so it’s easy to drop in and find a seat. On warm summer nights (and cold rainy ones too) it’s a great place to find sanctuary, and because of the sweet aesthetic they’ve built and the incredible food and wine...it can be busy! The food is always changing and is excellent. I’m consistently thankful for this place.
My advice is to call ahead to see what the wait time is and if they are hosting a private event.

A favorite gem in SE Portland. The wines, food, and service are fantastic. Joining the wine club is a must, it has been such a treat to get to know the wine makers and hear their stories- it makes the wine all the more special.

I was very eager to try out this wine bar. I called around 7 PM to see if they took reservations and was quickly told that they close at 9 PM and it is a walk in basis unless it is the chef‘s tasting area. My partner and I went in and ordered a glass of wine and then again was told the kitchen will be closing very soon even though it was only 8:10. After selecting an appetizer and enjoying a glass of wine we were finished by 8:45. I noticed the bartender taking candles off of tables next to me, I immediately felt rushed. I also watched her practically deny service to a couple that had walked in around 8:50, letting them know that they closed at 9 and the kitchen was already closed, etc. The Cabernet I selected was very tasty and the deviled eggs or delectable, would recommend the products of this establishment but the service was less than mediocre.

Went here with white friend and was checked on every so often and acknowledged. Went here with black friend and was almost entirely ignored. Soooo great wine. Lots of bias.

I'm such a big fan of this spot. It's understated and perfectly bridges the gap between neighborhood comfort and sexy going out on the town feels. It's a wonderful spot to treat yourself and go alone with a book (great bar/counter space), or bring a date you want to impress. The staff is super warm too. Some wine spots have an uppity quality to their wine presentation that is off-putting, but I never get the sommelier-looking-down-on-me vibe here. Just cool folks who know their stuff.
AND! I came for dumpling week and had my mind totally blown by the Italian style dumplings. Maybe if I write about them here they will put them on their permanent menu. Pretty please? Because they were outrageously delicious. The current menu is also delish--ie: kale salad.
Plus the window plant game is very strong, and now there are even patio tables. Oui/SE Wine Collective has all the things, and I'm all about it.
