Clinton Lake Park is a marvelous multi use park and lake. There a great view from the overlook area, and it's a marvelous picnic area as well. This is in the federal (corps) area, so there's no entry fee. The state oak area does require a day or annual pass.

Lots of mountain bike trails in the area.  Great view of Clinton Lake from the park and from Sanders Mound if you take a quarter mile hike. There are some very interesting bee nests at the Overlook parking area as well.

There's the GREATEST trails here, the tire you out like nothing else will. I will add more later!

The overlook park is well worth the stop. Plan on going for a short walk. It's a beautiful hike up to the hill to look out over the lake.
