This review should've been posted a couple years ago. Hopefully the staff has since changed and policy has improved, but this was my experience: Making reservations was very simple, staff even assured me my large shepherd would be given one of the largest kennel spaces as I requested and paid for. Dropping my dog off was the first red flag since her kennel was not available and the staff had to keep her in the small office until space was made. Didn't seem like an absolute, major concern until the day I picked her up, over a week later. I arrived at my scheduled pick-up time and nobody was even there. Another owner was there to pick up his dog at his appointed time as well. We waited ten minutes past our appointment when a worker reeking of cigarette smoke finally showed up. And then locked the door behind her. We waited another while before being allowed inside. There were dogs baby-gated in the breezeway closet, chewing on mop buckets and who knows what else. My dog did not have her crate (safe space), bedding, or toys. In fact, staff couldn't even tell me which dog was mine and walked me back to the kennel area so that I could point her out. I could've had my pick of any purebred dog there at the time. This is when I saw dogs being kept in the closet and subpar conditions. The blanket they'd given her as bedding smelled horribly of urine. I'm not sure if the odor coming from that towel of a blanket belonged to her or another dog. I then had to walk around and find her belongings in other dogs' kennels, and we never did find all of them (the bones and toy I'd left to occupy her for the week). Now my dog is not just extra friendly but she's not shy and skittish either. As soon as I opened the door to load her wire crate and bedding in my jeep, my dog jumped in and would not exit. Flat out refused to leave the vehicle to potty before the drive home. That entire experience tells me her treatment was probably worse than you would find at an animal shelter, literally kenneled for her boarding duration, bare minimal (if even that) care with no positive, individual attention. I would hardly describe my dog's treatment as "pampered". I would hardly describe the facility and staff as competent. I will NEVER leave dog there again or even recommend this place to my worst enemy. But like I said, surely things have changed in the last couple years. Anyway, I feel obligated to share my story so others are aware.
