Panevino

The atmosphere is satisfactory, but not special to me. The ingredients are superior...but not crafted into "amazing." The managers are so nice, but the staff seems untrained and (frankly) very weird. I don't understand the fuss over this place. I'm pleased that people like it, but their service doesn't live up to their prices. The girl who serves in the bar is friendly, but completely incapable of taking an order from a table of people. Not exaggerating. Order from the bartender.

Tonight a group and I made a reservation at this restaurant for a friends birthday. We were very excited to spoil her with an expensive dinner. Once we arrived we were quickly seated into a private area. After this, the experience went downhill. We were not seen by a server for approx. 15 minutes and once we were, we were told that our server would be leaving and someone else new would be serving us. Our second server, Ben/Benjamin, was passive aggressive and blunt to our group throughout the meal. Starting with the drinks we all ordered filtered water with lemon and he put the lemon on the table with no words, and reached over us to pour our waters. When we explained we would not be ordering bottles of wine, he announced "I'm going to just take these glasses since you're not going to use them" in a very abrasive tone. We asked for meal menus and repeatedly he told us "I'm on your time. We can order quick if you have somewhere else to be." When we ordered our appetizers we specified multiple times that we would be ordering from the plant-based/vegan menu. Our bruchettini was brought to us with cheese, and when we ate it thinking it was vegan, we mentioned it to the server saying that we were given the wrong food and it was not vegan. His response was a cold "oh no" and he then walked away without any attempt to make it up to us or an apology. I left the meal early because I was uncomfortable with his service. This situation was brought up to the manager, and we were told "Your server will be talked to" but again there was no apology or attempt at consoling us considering we would now be sick after eating the dairy and a special birthday event was spoiled with terrible service.

The atmosphere was fantastic! Celebrated my sister's birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was better than expected. The Ravioli stuffed with shrimp and scallops was to die for. I can't wait to go again.

We had a great experience! I am gluten free and my husband is vegetarian. They guided us from the appetizer to the dessert. It was delicious. Our server Benjamin was great and the manager, Mark was great and very accommodating! I highly recommend this restaurant. Ps- the creme brulee was delish!

Excellent service and a beautiful restaurant. Love the homemade pasta and shrimp cocktail. Everyone should visit Panevino!
