Papaya Mexican Grill

It was mentioned the dining experience here is like dining on a home cooked meal. I agree. The Mexican taco combo plate with a choice of meats was very tasty. My fellow diners enjoyed their meals very much too. The exception was the complementary corn chip appetizer. They tasted like the chips we're sourced from a processed bag off a supermarket shelf. The space is a bit tiny. Half dining, half bar but an excellent place to sample authentic tapas. I'd give the food more stars but the service could have been better. The staff was polite but neglected to give us a full set of flatware and napkins. The restaurant was not at all full so having to get up and retreive them myself seemed an oversight on the server. Dining experience was very reasonable on the wallet. I'd give the restaurant another chance and recommend to give it a try.

This place is not a fussy taco joint. Some days they have chips, other days they don't...but the food is SO GOOD! The warm authentic homemade tortilla with shredded meat is my fav. I also love the hot sauces they provide. The servers are also super nice and casual. They are not overly attentive like an American restaurant but I don't mind it. Come to Papaya for great, affordable tacos!

AMAZING TACOS! The Tacos are priced amazing and so delicious! The atmosphere is very comfortable, clean and cozy.

It is a very nice place to eat, I feel like home, the food is very tasty, the customer service is very good I recommend to all, the tacos are the best I have eaten in all of Connecticut.. This is the Rosca Taquera wow...
