Sooooo I feel a tad sick after my breakfast. Here’s how it went -website said it opens at 7 am daily. Went on a Friday at 9:30 and the door was locked. Person was sitting there looking at the phone. When I knocked he slowly walked to the door and unlocked it without a word. We asked and he said the grill will take ten minutes to heat up and went back to the phone without offering waters or drinks. We had two small children- no highly chair was offered even though we saw they had some when we left. After 15 minutes we called the guy and asked him to take our order which he did. He then made the flattest most flavorless pancakes I’ve ever had, and served it up with bacon that could only be described as raw, home fries that were actually tater tot’s, and eggs that oddly tasted of licorice. When highchairless kids spilled a drink no help was offer to clean the floor. Will never return. Would not recommend. Hope I don’t have salmonella.
Walked in at 8am. Lights on, door unlocked, heat cranking and super loud music was blaring. No one was there, unless you count the guy whose legs were sticking out from the back booth he was sleeping or passed out in. Was really hoping for a nice breakfast so very disappointed, and a little creeped out.
I don't know what happened to this place. I'm guessing it starts with horrible mismanagement. Saw all the good reviews and decided to head there with three other friends. Walked in wasn't greeted, sat at a sticky counter, and then was akwardly told that they're only offering carry out while the restaurant was set for dinning in. After sorting the reviews by most recent I kind of take it as a blessing in disguise. I'll never be back. When four hungry guys show up and you turn them away we ended up eating at Iron Age and spent over $150.
Service was very good. The food was fast and good. Most was not the best I’ve had but the home fries were amazing and definitely worth coming back for.
Poor service not clean. I watch the customer go behind the counter and cook food no hand washing very bad food safety practices. More cheese than meat on my philly
Ordered the French toast powdered sugar and this what they gave me ? It doesn’t even have powdered sugar or whipped cream on it. They could’ve at least gave me it on the side. I was very upset and felt catfished. Maybe their food is only good if you physically go, I wouldn’t get it delivered.
My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere good for breakfast. I have lived and or grew up in the Catonsville area for most of my life. I suggested we go to paradise cafe, since I haven’t been in since Covid. We went in and there were two gentlemen at the counter and one man on the flattop. No big deal. However, we were not greeted at all. The man on the grill didn’t say hello, hi, I’ll be right with you. Nothing. The longer we sat the more we got to look around and realize that is once cute small diner was now dirty. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or sanitized since it was Lucy’s. Tongs hung by the flat top looked like they hadn’t been washed in months with a very thick layer of gunk on it. My boyfriend is a cook for a living. When he tells you he’s not comfortable eating somewhere, you listen. We got up and left. Such a shame because this used to be an amazing little place.
I come here often during my breaks at work, or sometimes even on offdays. The food is always good, and cooked at a very prompt speed. And the service is A-1. the staff is always quite friendly. 10/10
