I have 3 pairs of Crispi hiking boots, which are about $350 each. According to Fitbit, I walk 1600 miles in 6 months while I train dogs, so by the time I'd worn through the soles, I'd only had them 5 months each. Obviously, I didn't want to give them up when the soles wore out, so I decided to see if Park Ridge Shoe Repair could do anything with them. They've always done good work for me in the past, but this would be a much bigger job. Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed!! My boots looked brand new! They cleaned them up, got out all the river and mud stains, as well as last spring's salt stains, and re-waterproofed the leather to like-new status! And it lasted another 900 miles DESPITE walking right into the river up to the top of the laces! They even cleaned around the eyes of the laces, which are riveted, and REALLY tight. Of course, they put on new Vibram soles, with deep tread, maybe even a bit deeper than they originally had, which is awesome given my occupation which we discussed, and added a new pair of laces to top it all off! My $350 boots that were completely destroyed, looked brand new again for less than it would have cost me to buy a pair of Keen boots, and those never lasted me past 400 miles. THANKS PARK RIDGE SHOE REPAIR!
I've been getting shoes and boots repaired here for 3 years. They do great work. They also have other shoe related products for sale. Need hard to find laces? Check here
The shoe repair shop is courteous and professional and did a stand up job installing zippers for my leather jacket. Further, The barber shop next door is pleasurable and old school. Excellent service and outstanding haircut!
I have taken a few pairs of boots and shoes here to fix the heels or to them resoled. They always do superb job and give my favorite footwear a new lease on life. & I don't have to try to replace the nicely broken in and comfortable footwear that I love!
Great work at a good price. Would recommend to anyone looking for repairs, stretching and cleaning!
They are awesome!!! Got my coat zipper fixed in a jiffy today. Awhile back, they fitted me with shoes that solved my foot problem. SUPER helpful!!! I highly recommend !!!
Was concerned by a negative review, but took shoe to be repaired anyway. Staff was courteous. I had no idea that this was a full-service shoe store! Amen! I ended up getting my feet measured and trying on shoes. The repair took 10 days, so only 4 stars. But the service was excellent!
My shoes were scheduled to be completed on 6/5, but when I stopped to pick them up on 6/11 they were not done. They quickly sewed and glued my shoes while I waited. When they finally brought them out to me, the right shoe foot pad had marks and tears that were not there when i brought them in to be resoled and stitched. I recieved no apology, nor would they admit it happened there. I spent $25 for a pair of shoes that now have a nasty tear where I slide my foot into the shoe! I wouldn't have been willing to pay $ to fix my shoes if they were already worn through! They needed to admit all of their mistakes and make it right with me. I will definitely not be a return customer. Terrible customer service; unfriendly and argumentive. No return service for me!
The zipper of my beloved snowmobile coat broke at the end of last winter. I went to another shop to get a quote for repair. They wanted to replace the whole zipper and charge better than $60. Decided to hold off. Took my coat to Park Ridge today, the repair man took my coat for 5 minutes and came back with it fixed! A simple replacement of the top zipper pull. No need for total replacement! THAT is customer service! THANK YOU PARK RIDGE SHOE REPAIR!! I will tell my story and recommend you to friends and family.
Brought in two pairs of shoes - heeled boots and mules. I asked for sole guards to be put on. They color matched them and did an AMAZING job on them. Very friendly service, well done, and my shoes were ready for me to pick up on time. I would happily bring more shoes to them. Highly recommend.
