Actually, this store is clean and neat, well organized and easy to walk through. They have other things besides hardware, things like trinkets, snacks local and nonlocal, and a gardening department as well. The plants looked healthy & well cared for. I should have taken photos, I will next time we come in for an item that no other store around the area has in stock or even for sale at all.
We went to the big box stores 1st and neither the blue or the orange had what we needed. The items we needed are not everyday stuff. Went here and got everything we needed in bulk. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and knew what we needed and got us to the correct aisles. The price wasn't to bad either.
It's a lot of fun to shop here...they have a ton of every kind of hardware you can name, and an amazing amount of really cool stuff too! Halloween, gifts, houseware, kitchen gadgets, paints, toys, a jerkey wagon, spices...well, you get the idea. Some things are a bit pricey, but overall, we always have fun shopping, and the staff have amazing attitudes! Big thumbs up!!
Nicely stocked store, but the employees were not warm toward me. They may need to work on their cross cultural knowledge. I felt extremely unwelcome.
Went here in search of a specific item. Was greeted by Lynn and helped extensively. Not only did he help me with exactly what I needed but also had a deeper insight to my problem I hadn't had before. A extremely positive experience overall. I will be back and recommend this place to people I know.
Rented weed eater and destroyed our back yard. Time to get it squared away.
After being a loyal customer for 6 years, buying 7 Stihl products, I went to get my chain saw looked at. After I was told that it would be around 3 week of wait time, possibly longer, I went ahead and bought a brand new chain saw instead to free them up from servicing my saw and stay a loyal Stihl customer. When the employee tested the saw, we heard that it made awful metal grinding noise when operating the saw. I was told that it will go away as I start using it. When I got home and was all set up for the job, took out my new saw and just couldn't stand listening to the grinding sound it made, so I didn't get the job done. After I came back from a scheduled vacation, I took the chain saw back but was told that since it was a few days past the 7 day return policy, I can't exchange this brand new, never used chain saw, all I can do is take it into repair and wait who knows how long ... After speaking with 2 more employees and getting nowhere, I'm leaving this review so that everyone knows what to expect with Stihl products and parkrose hardware rental services!!! Hope this will change something after they read it and understand my frustration.
They always have what I need in a pinch. Very well stocked store and plenty of cashiers to get you on your way.
Yesterday, I took 5 window screens in to be replaced. With every service lately being backed up, short staffed, and suffering from supply chain issues, I was fully prepared to be told it would take weeks to get them back to me, and I would have paid whatever they asked for to do it no questions... Instead, I was told it would take 2 days and it would only cost about $100 for all five screens! And then instead of two days, I got a call 5 hours later saying they were ready for pick-up! Great people, classic local hardware store, and the list of services they provide, fix, or replace is amazing. Thank you so much! I'll be back! Give my screen guy a raise :
Usually have decent service here. I rented a chainsaw and it was in ill repair. Took it back and patiently explained what happened. The employee was hostile, saying “I suppose you’re gonna play the race card now” which is an incredibly unprofessional, strange, and volatile thing to say. In my mind my race had nothing to do with the experience until he said that. I walked away and called the store from home. Was told I would get a refund for the rental but never did. This was over a year ago. I waited to write a review about it, afraid that someone might retaliate considering my bank card and address were involved. Now its deep in a pile or no longer on record, so I feel fine relaying my experience. Basically this guy had a terrible temper and his issues came out. He’s probably tailgating someone and using the term Karen to excuse his next outburst. Bless his heart.
