Pasta Dal Cuore is our favorite pasta place in New York City, New Jersey, or Philadelphia. I highly recommend it as all the pastas are handmade and made fresh daily. The ambiance is nice, every time we've been there it's been on the quieter side with conversations and you have some privacy with the dividers they set up. The chef doesn't like making too many modifications to the meals, but we were able to get exactly what we wanted as the menu has a lot of good choices. The prices are fair for the quality of the food that you receive in the service has always been top notch here! This has been added to our rotation of favorite places to eat. I recommend you try it out and I hope you're not disappointed.
The arancini was to die for honestly. Service was a bit slow but overall not bad since it was late and they seem to only have one waiter. The bread was delicious & the drink was strong. Pasta was incredible & the dividers added a nice level of intimacy. Overall happy with how well everything went.
Phenomenal dining, ambience and service. No longer BYOB like some of the other older reviews mention. Lots of great vegetarian options on the regular menu and additional options on the daily specials as well. We tried the eggplant appetizer, spinach linguine and mushroom fettuccine entrees. All of them were delicious. Lots of great dessert options as well.
Pasta Dal Cuore is always a great choice. Fresh pasta, good drink selection, and yummy desserts. I felt safe eating indoors and the dividers made for a cozy and semi-private dining experience. Our waiter was also so welcoming and friendly!
Food was excellent, the gluten free pasta was the best I've had. They told me it had been made fresh earlier that evening and it definitely was the best GF pasta I've had. Please note, that they were BYOB, but recently acquired a liquor license and are offering cocktails and no BYOB. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Overall food quality and presentation was great. Arincini was okay. Pesto pasta was good. Tiramisu was below average.
A great authentic Italian restaurant in Jersey City! The service was amazing and was able to give a great description for the dishes. I ordered the meatballs and cacio e Pepe for dinner. The meatballs come with 5 and are delicious! Everything is freshly made in house. The cacio e Pepe’s pasta was a unique color but it lacked that black pepper taste and was very oily. Other than that everything was amazing!
We ordered Involtini Di Melanzane and Chicken Parm with fresh pasta in vodka sauce. With no doubt, one of my top italian restaurants ever. These two were delicious. You must definitely try
Decent portions, okay pasta, good bread, okay tiramisu. I liked the service and the person on the phone was able to answer all my allergies related questions. However this place wasn’t quite able to hit the mark. I love the fennel in the bolognese but at the end of the day it still felt lacking the oomph of what makes a good bolognese, pasta choice could’ve also been better for it though. For the spinach pasta I found myself digging for the bacon bits because the sauce had only 1 real flavor and that’s acid. Now I understand tomatoes are acidic but this sauce needs depth and flavor. There needs to be more balance. Their tiramisu was okay but not memorable. I’m hoping the chef had a bad night and that’s why this food was created. However it feels like the food was made by a someone before they went to culinary school.
Came here Friday night with a reservation for dinner for two. Was excited to experience their homemade pasta. A lot of the reviews are positive for this place mentioning it’s their favorite Italian spot in New Jersey AND New York wow but I have to say that I think these reviews are either old or not real. I felt like I was on an episode of Nathan For You as soon as I entered Pasta Dal Coure. The atmosphere is so bizarre, with high ceilings and privacy dividers. Chairs that felt like they were picked out of a backyard set from Home Depot. Silverware wrapped in paper napkins. Ok whatever, as long as the food is good right? The waiter came over and at the start seemed friendly and a bit sarcastic but that’s ok. He gave us a run down of the nights specials and particularly tried to sell us on this “fried burrata” dish. It was after 9pm, my date and I were hungry, we were here for the pasta and we quickly declined. He didn’t seem to like that and pushed the fried appetizer again to us. Listen, I love barratta but I’ve never had it fried. Whatever, we ordered it. It came to the table a few minutes later. It was hands down the worst thing I’ve ever order in a Jersey City restaurant. Yeah it was fried and warm on the outside but runny, wet and cold on the inside. The presentation looked like something a kid would have made in his college dorm. Whatever, it’s a just a appetizer. Let’s get to the main course.. I ordered the Chicken Parm with vodka sauce. My date ordered their Cacio e Pepe. — see the photos. Her meal was gray and it tasted gray. Literally it tasted like nothing. That’s the review. My Chicken Parm with vodka sauce came luke warm and runny. Literally look at the photo — haha. Also, the vodka sauce? Flavorless too and only on the pasta, the chicken parm had traditional marinara. Why would you mix those two flavors? Wild. Anyways, since we ordered the appetizer our waiter had totally disappeared and we didn’t see him until he came over mid meal to tell us it was last call for deserts. What? No.. At about 10:25pm the remaining 3 tables in the restaurant all stood up and left like they were being told to leave. We still had two glasses of wine left - we ordered a bottle. Both my date and I were confused looking around like what just happened. My date asked our waiter “do we have to chug this and leave?” and he told her “l don’t tell women what to do” haha bro, what? Skip Pasta Dal Coure. Go to ITA, go to Corto. Walk down to the street and go to Roman Nose. Their food you can actually taste and not feel like you have Covid. This is not a Jersey City restaurant, this is some Bizzarroville.
