The open kitchen at Pastoral highlights the authentic Neapolitan pizza oven which produces sizzling hot wood fired pizzas in under ninety seconds such as Clams Vongole, Spinach & Fontina and Classic Margherita that is topped with house-made mozzarella. Many of the entrees and vegetable dishes are finished off in the 900 degree wood-fired oven imported from Naples, Italy weighing 6,000 pounds, and made from stone and sand from Mt. Vesuvius.

Really impressed with the food here! Shared meatballs and calamari apps - both were very flavorful, cooked perfectly, and reasonable portion size. Also shared the diavolo pizza and it was very good - spicy sausage and perfect crust. Ambiance was nice, service was friendly and attentive.
I couldn’t wait to try this menu and it did not disappoint! When you walk in, you can smell the fresh smoking firewood in the pizza ovens. The recipes and ingredients you can tell are carefully selected— the entire menu all throughout, from drinks to desserts, is so refined and the unique flavors just go so well together. The fresh homemade pasta was a step above the rest. I recommend the pine nut hummus and the wings, but everything was unreal!!!! Todd is a creative genius : I am a new fan and can’t wait to go back. Gigi’s favorite course was dessert, clearly.
Overall, great vibe and good food. If you like your pizza with crispy - may be look elsewhere. Giving 4 star as my margarita pizza was a bit chewy but my friends loved their pizzas. Apps were ok - meatball and a garlic-knot. A bit pricey and on top they have a 5% recovery fee as a recovering small business.Recommended dishesGarlic Knot, Fennel Sausage, Veal Meatball, Margherita Pizza
Twice we’ve ordered take out and both times I wasn’t blown away. The restaurant is lovely. Very warm and welcoming decor. Both times I was quickly and cheerfully greeted. Our orders were prepared promptly and correctly. My first order was a sausage and fennel pizza. I found it dry and relatively tasteless. My second order was a veal meatball pizza with a gluten free crust. The taste of this one was better but overall it was average. My wife enjoyed her pepperoni pizza and it did look good. And our daughter said the grandma pizza was good. She and I both thought the gluten free crust was doughy in the center. Note when ordering gluten free I was told there was the risk of contamination with gluten products so no guarantee of 100% GF. I know for some this can be a danger so be forewarned. Pictured are grandma’s pizza and veal meatball with GF crust and pepperoni with regular crust. Yes the edges were burnt.
Love this place. I eat here once a month when in town for business. The pizza dough is the real deal and their oven creates magic. Try the grilled vegetables! I love the arugula salad. The mezzaluna ravioli special tonight was awesome.
Great pizza place. The pizzas tasted amazing. We are from out of town and found this place near our hotel. We enjoyed our meal.
Had a wonderful dinner with family & friends tonight! Delicious and handmade food, drinks, & great service - would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique dining experience. Favorites of the night: -pine nut hummus -eggplant fries -mezzi rigatoni w/ bolognese -dessert assortment especially lemon sorbet & Peri’s cookie
1.5 stars would be my rating. First, the good: the bolognese pasta was delicious and so was the veal meatball on the veal meatball pizza; and the ambience is pretty cool. Now, the bad: 18 minutes in between the pizza arriving at the table and the pasta arriving is ridiculous; the full portion of the pumpkin cappelacci is for children and when asked they gave the bs explanation of it being high on calories; the wine came in soda glasses; the funghi pizza didn't have much mushroom; the pizza dough on both pies was chewy; the waiter would simply disappear and the restaurant was at half capacity; and to top the bad experience, they tried charging $26 for both "glasses" of wine instead of $20 $10 each under the pretense that the menu retrieved through an updated QR code on the table was "out of date" and didn't have the $10 wine glass. Bad, very bad.
Really cool establishment and decor. The appetizers were killer and oh my goodness, their personal pizzas were absolutely to die for. I even got the gluten free crust veggie pizza with no cheese, and I can honestly say, it's the best pizza crust I've had since going gluten free! I almost couldn't believe it. The toppings were great, and it wasn't too dried out from not having cheese, absolutely perfect! The staff was very attentive too!
You will not be disappointed! This place is always a delight. Ambiance, good food and great drinks with a staff that is always pleasant. This place is a guaranteed good time.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
